Summary: i BOUGHT TWO OF SAME mODEL AND COULD NOT GET EITHER TO WORK. oNE HAD THE NOTICE THAT ONE WAS DAMAGED BY HIS DOG(pOWER CORD ONLY) BUT WOULD NOT POWER UP. i WROTE IT OFF AS i SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. tHE OTHER ONE i WROTE OFF AND DID NOT FILE CLAIM. sO I HAVE NO EXPIERENCE OF THE USE BUT asus IS A GOOD BRAND. i HAVE A m/b IN MY TOWER FROM asus AND A MONITOR.
Summary: I bought this to take notes in class, but it is flimsy, difficult to use and does not mesh well with flash drives. On the other hand it is light and would be very easy to transport if I actually liked it.
Summary: I bought this mainly for my work which requires basic browser and some word processing work. But this netbook is SLOW. I don't think it's because of it's specifications, I think that whoever refurbished it did a horrible horrible job. I've seen the model before and used it briefly and it's usually not that slow. When it first arrived it started downloading windows updates for about 3 hours. It was doing that every day for a while.
Summary: I bought the netbook primarily for travelling. It crashed and completely stopped working after three weeks. I paid to have ot restored to factory settings. The same thing happened a month later. I returned it to the seller, who restored it to factory settings but refused to refund or replace it. I've had it back for a few weeks now and it's so slow it's unuseable. Youtube crashes the browser and it needs to be restarted every hour or so.
Summary: You'll love this device for the price but beware the SD card slot. I tried two cards in it and it not only corrupted both cards it caused the netbook to crash. I had to contact Asus to find out how to reset it to its default condition to get it working again. It does but I haven't used the card slot since. That said the netbook is everything you would expect from a mid-range model of that size.

Summary: This was the chosen tool for being on the road, it needed to be small and light weight and this fits that criteria. I am not sure why manufacturers insist on installing loads of useless software on their products, it slows the whole thing down and bearing in mind this little Asus has only 1GB of ram that cannot be upgraded.
Great for internetting and word/open office but not a Gaming PC

Summary: I bought this about a year ago and it is a great little netbook. I bought mine from Littlewoods.com as it had the best price at the time I wanted it. It comes with basic software but you can install Apache Open Office free and Microsoft Word Professional if you buy it. It runs on Windows 7 Starter and is fine for general internetting. It has IE10 installed on it but I run google chrome and mozilla firefox in addition to that.
It's either not good or the internet connection is bad.

Summary: It's like watching a kettle boiling. The tune it plays if you don't use it after 5 mins drives you mad and it's not obvious how to turn the tune off. It may be purely down to my internet connection but my ACER computer at £325 is responsive.
