Summary: i just received my new netbook i must admit after taking it out the box it pretty and all but the screen is very dark even when brightness is at max its very slow the load light consently stays on for no reason even when powered on an and idle state. worse of it prone to crashing in the middle of mutitasking causing you to lose what you were doing by restarting the computer also i experenced one time this computer shut down from overheating buy at your own risk;'
Summary: I gave this thing more credit in the beginning than I should have. I didnt use it much until both of my laptops went into the shop at the same time for work, and I was left with my desktop and this item the ASUS t91mt. I added the 2gb right away. It works well with only one window open, if you have more than one window open this thing is as slow as dial up service. I have had it manually plugged into my internet, through my Verizon modem and through my home wireless.
Summary: **5/16 Update** Well, I finally gave up and returned it. In theory this is a good idea but the execution is just off. I forced myself to accept the screen quality but the performance was the eventual deal breaker. I didn't buy this to be a laptop replacement, but I don't even enjoy using it for the light tasks that I did buy it for. Web browsing is a headache. It is so frustrating to only have about 1/4 of all attempted Flash video run, and run barely passable at that.
Summary: I was sorely disappointed in this product and returned it to Amazon after two days. First off, the screen is very washed-out with poor contrast, even with brightness on max. Colors simply don't pop, and it's horrible in bright light. One key reason for this dullness is the resistive touch-screen.
Summary: The unit is not very reliable. The tablet portion stopped working the first day into the special project that I purchased it for. By the second day, the entire unit had stopped working and would not even turn on. I was several hundred miles from home and had to use a backup unit that I had bought along with me. It has been returned to ASUS for repair or replacement. Hopefully they will satisfy me with their repair service. Time will tell.
Summary: I am not giving this computer a better review mostly because I am currently sending back the machine for a second time, and this time buying a different one. I like the size of the machine for what I wanted, and for the most part, it has worked as I thought it would, though it is pretty slow (though I expected this as well). The machine in general seems fairly well made, the touch screen works fine and I really had no problem with it.
Summary: I read about this net book long before it was released and really looked forward to it. Having bought it im a little disappointed. First off its just too slow for the touch interface to function properly. The shift and enter keys are very poorly placed. The touch pad doesn't work very well, it occasionally thinks you are trying to do something else than move the cursor. If you use the touch pad to write there is no "interpolations" i.e.
Summary: I ordered the T91 the day it came available, and got it the next day ( 07/16/09 )via Amazon. I went in understanding that this was a tiny machine, even by netbook standards, but the biggest problem for me is the OS. Now that I have used it for a day I wish I had waited for the Windows 7 version, or even Win XP tablet edition.
