Excerpt: I’m not really a techie type of person wherein I would buy newly released gadgets I would see from those glossy magazine pages. Because I’ve started my business online, the need for these high-tech gadgets has now become a requirement for me. My first laptop that I bought was the ASUS Eee PC 904HA. Frankly speaking, I fell in love with the look and the convenience I would have if I got it.
Excerpt: I absolutely love my Asus Eee PC 904HA Netbook. The biggest plus being the nifty size. I can take it anywhere! It’s been an absolute Godsend, especially around test or exam time at university. Around these times it’s impossible to get a computer in the labs or the library. Being able to carry around this lightweight laptop means I’m not wasting time waiting for a computer. The battery does make it a bit heavy, but it’s all worth it!
Summary: This is a great product, and in the first few weeks of use I have had little problems using it. I travel alot for work and purchased this for my work and I have not been disappointed. In fact, I am shocked at how convenient this laptop has been. It is small enough for me to carry around with me while I go from meeting to meeting, and lasts for a full day on one battery.
Pros: Adequate Storage, Compact, Fast, Good Battery Life
Summary: First, I'm definitely NOT a tech guy but I'm a big time gadget guy :-) This machine is perfect for what I want it for - PORTABILITY. It seems to be of decent quality and works right out of the box AS IT SHOULD - unlike the Aspire One I bought previously (which would not even boot up completely the first time I turned on the power switch). What I like least about the machine is that you have to keep moving the screen around with the mouse to view the screen.
Summary: I just received my 904-HA yesterday, and so far I think it's the best purchase I've made in years. The only minor issue I've had is the power adapter stopped working for a bit, but it's working again now. I think the warranty on the adapter is shorter than the warranty on the unit itself, so I might contact Asus or B&H about this.As for the netbook itself, it gets 4 stars on both performance and portability.
Pros: Adequate Storage, Compact, Good Battery Life, Lightweight
Summary: I purchased this item to be more productive in my writing and it has truly paid off. I did more writing in my first three days of receiving this item than I did for the past three months on my desktop. This item is so convenient to carry around that as soon an idea comes up, you pop it open and you're doing work. The issues that I have is that my thumbs tap the touch pad as I am typing and wherever your cursor is located, that is where you are going to end up.
Pros: Adequate Storage, Compact, Fast, Good Battery Life, Lightweight, Many ports
Summary: Good netbook - small, light and with a good battery which was what I was looking for. The keyboard on the Asus is poorly designed. The right shift key is in a bad place and you keep hitting the scroll instead. I touch type, and can not get to it without looking. It is extremely annoying. Pleased so far with speed but I might have bought the Acer if I had seen it first since the keyboard looks better although a few reviews I read complain about the Acer's battery life.
Summary: This product met my expectations, based upon reviews I read. I expected a small screen and an awkward keyboard on an otherwise small, light and portable machine. That is what I got. First every reviewer who mentioned the keyboard is right. The right shift key is in a bad place, and I still haven't gotten used to it and keep hitting scroll instead. I must look to hit it, which is very annoying for a touch typist like me.
Summary: I traded the Aspire One. This is the best of the lot. I used MSI Wind, Dell 9, ASUS 701 and 900. All of the keyboards are cramped. This is the best of the lot, but not by much. The footprint is great. It is lightweight. The display is 600pixels tall. On this 8.9" screen 800X600 looks better without scrolling up/down. I would love a 10.X". I use this with PUTTY and as a terminal it is perfect. I use VLC to watch movies. It is perfect for this.
Pros: Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Quiet
Cons: Display could be smaller, Keyboard is cramped
