Summary: I got this to carry in my briefcase rather than hauling around a full size laptop. I wanted something to get email, occasionally SKYPE, check the net, look at photos and be able to read documents and make simple edits. Its met every expectation. The battery life is fine for that type of use, though, when its plugged into house current and running the more power demanding applications, the power supply gets very hot as does the unit itself.
Excerpt: I just bought a new laptop. I was thought of buying another one for my little sister who is just a high school student. So, I went over to the nearest computer shop in our city and I found out a new notebook PC that was recently released by ASUS. It was really so cute and handy. I thought that it is small enough to fit in my little sister’s school bag. It was affordable because it only costs less than $500 AUS. The feature are so amazing because it has a camera.
Excerpt: I recently picked up one of these little gadgets after reading reviews on the net. I wanted something compact, stylish and fast, but also something that wouldn’t break the bank. The Eee PC fits the bill perfectly. It’s tiny, more like a children’s toy laptop . In fact, I have been asked if it is just that on one occasion! The hard drive on the laptop is tiny, so everything is geared to online storage instead.
Excerpt: I have always wanted to have a super lightweight laptop, so that I can carry around, or use it while I am watching TV or moving around the house. Then came the Eee PC. It redefines a whole new category of gadget, and it’s amazingly affordable. Plus this is a proper laptop. I am starting to love it quite a lot. At this price tag, you may expect some tackiness and filmsily built kind of quality. But it is not.
Excerpt: From all of the sub-notebooks that are being released around the world, the ASUS EeePC 701 is definitely the most impressive notebook I’ve ever seen. Looking at it, it may not seem impressive, but this small machine is so amazing that you’d be amazed at the very low price you purchased for it - $400.
Excerpt: For starters, I’d just like to say that I love this netbook. I got it very recently, maybe a month ago, and it works exceedingly well and perfectly for what I need it for. The price was one factor in why I chose this computer, and I have to say, it was well worth the price. This great little PC usually costs from 200 to 350 dollars. It has many aspects that more expensive computers have, and yet does them just as well, I think.
Excerpt: When I was accepted in a university in another city, I knew that buying a laptop was essential. Running on a tight budget, I found about the Asus Eee Pc 701 4G which had debuted in my country about a week earlier. It was absolutely ideal due to it’s small size and light weight and compared to other laptops it was cheaper. Also the 701 4G comes in a variety of colors allowing it to fit to your taste more easily.
Excerpt: This is the first notebook I had. I find it cute and looks like a toy or a big calculator when I saw it amongst other laptop and notebook. When I was abroad, I really like to buy a laptop or notebook to be able to connect with my loved ones. I had a cellphone but it will cost too much if I text or call them. So I find it very affordable if I chat with them instead. So when I had my first two months salary, since I’m in a working visa abroad, I decided to buy a laptop.
Summary: I wanted a 7" netbook for taking away with me so I have access to emails, etc. I did not need all the features of an ipad and wanted something smaller. Although the screen is 7", the overall width is nearly 9", it is very heavy and very thick. I loaded some anti virus software onto it and it ground to a halt with not enough virtual memory. I have now bought some more RAM and it is a bit better.
