Summary: This computer is just so slow, the specs look good on paper but this machine just can't do anything! Takes so long just to open programs and windows. This gives me a bad taste of ASUS, we seriously don't ask much of this computer and it really struggles.
Summary: We had this for about a week before deciding to return it. On paper, it was so great. The Brazos platform was supposed to provide it with enough power to make it comparable to regular notebook, and ASUS seemed like on top of their game in the netbook market.
Summary: This netbook was loaded with bloatware (took over 2 hours to go through everything and figure out what was necessary and what I wanted. Put in extra 2Gb ram for a total of 4Gb - was recognized right away (instruction manual talks about disabling the "boot booster" in the BIOS but there was no "boot...
Summary: Don't buy, this model has a defective touchpad! Asus will not acknowledge the issue either. Users are sending theirs back to get a brand new replacement; that has the same original problem. There is a fix (that a forum user came up w/) to take apart the unit & remove a pad. Here is a link...
Summary: On paper this is a killer netbook. But once you get it, and it is not cheap, it disappoints you a lot more, than just for its high price. It is slow compare with many laptops for the same money, battery life is not great, web-camera is poor, but it is all question of taste, and there are plenty of...
Summary: Similar to earlier comments, my touch pad does not work and the space bar requires a very hard press. Called ASUS and twice they had me reinstall the drivers. This is clearly not the problem. I asked if this was a known problem and was told "no" both times that I called.
Summary: I'm currently on my third 1215B --returned it to the store first and then for repairs to Asus. Each of the three have had defective touchpads, which, according to various websites, is common with this model. Do not buy this machine.
Faulty touchpad, hard keypad and very reflective screen

Summary: I'm returning this laptop because the touchpad didn't work - it freezes after a couple of minutes of use and the only way to use the computer is with a mouse. But other than that, the keypad is not great and the screen is ridiculously reflective. I'm fed up and going for an macbook.
