Summary: I ordered this netbook from everest online and they sent me the wrong model. Their response was that they're "all the same" so they basically just send you whatever they want, not what you ordered. They are all similar, but they are not the same. The x101 that they sent me does not allow the RAM to be upgraded like the 1025 does. Now I am completely screwed because I needed this for a trip I leave on in 3 days.
Summary: I rate this 4 stars because it is affordable, upgradable, and the battery life is outstanding. It is not THAT hard to upgrade the RAM. Watch the Youtube video, it shows you exactly how to do it. I used this RAM, Patriot Signature 2 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz Notebook Memory PSD32G13332S, and it worked. Why Asus didn't give you a handy little door, I don't know. Very poor design in that regard. Other than that, it is a very nice netbook for the price.
Summary: This netbook is more capable than I thought. But I did upgraded the RAM and everything runs smoothly. Don't have the best keyboard, speaker, screen etc etc... but very decent product for its price! However, my netbook makes continual weird noises. It isn't loud and I'm not really bothered by that! I would say this budget netbook lives up to my expectation although it has a little flaw.
Summary: I really like this computer....after upgrade. The computer I received had 1GB Ram and a 3 cell battery. The reviews that I read prior to purchase indicated that 2GB RAM was recommended for optimal use and that upgrading the unit with 1GB would necessitate taking the computer apart. There is an excellent YouTube video available that provides step by step instructions for making the upgrade. Be advised that this will void the warranty.
Amazing battery life, even out of the box! Great OS setup, lot's of bloatware as usual.

Summary: This netbook is the best netbook I've used so far. The screen is much higher quality than my Acer A1, and I can squeeze a little over 12 real world hours of battery life out of it without changing any power settings. I suspect I can get another hour or 1.5 hours battery life if I change the power settings. I have a 15 inch Asus notebook from 2009 that cost nearly $950 US and the keyboard is nowhere near as good as the keyboard on this netbook.
Summary: I recently bought this netbook for my mother, I own two other Asus Eee PCs. Aside from the problem below, the 1025C is a definite improvement on the 1015PEM and the T101MT that I also own. The 1025C has one glaring defect in that while it is upgrade able to 2GB (from the original 1GB) to do so requires opening up the machine, removing the keyboard, then the motherboard, and then install the ram. Summary: This is my fourth and probably the last of my Eee PC purchases. The ASUS quality is still there, but the models I had to choose from were disappearing from the online sources. Finally got this one since it was still available, but was not my first choice. Great Price, but that is probably because it had only the small battery and 1 GB of RAM. Ordered it with the extra DIMM, the installation is not the simplest job, but doable for the experienced PC user.
