Excerpt: This thing is HORRIBLE! We don't even use it and have given up.........it sits in the closet. We called and tried explaining to the techs that it will not run ANYTHING and takes forever to open anything then it'll freeze or shut down. They finally said send it in after trying everything we could and they didn't even give us a new one!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: This computer is so slow it makes the old one riddled with viruses look speedy by comparison. There are plenty of glitches for those who love constant troubleshooting. I wanted to return it but it seems I have to go back to the manufacturer etc etc and I feel it will be lengthy and painful so I guess I am just stuck with it.
Summary: Exactly 12 months after purchase on July 30 several keys on the keyboard has stopped working. I got it for classroom use and travel , now I cannot even respond to email, waste of money DISAPPOINTED!
Summary: This laptop is really bad, to put it nicely. It is portable which is nice, however it is REALLY SLOW. I have had it for less than a year and I have only used it a handfull of times because I normally use my home computer. I took it out to use it today and the keyboard does not work. I am dissapointed in myself for not returing this piece of junk when I got it!
Summary: I wanted to like this computer and I did for just about a month before the keyboard failed. Since it's a column of keys I'm guessing it's the keyboard matrix that has failed. It has all the hallmarks of a hardware failure since an external USB keyboard works fine. I really did like this computer once I got used to the funky touchpad mouse. I also put a fair amount of time into getting it all configured just right. I'm hoping Amazon will issue a full refund.
Summary: Bought this for organizing photos on a 3-week trip. Within a week the SD slot stopped ejecting SD cards. Also this computer is so weak it can't play movies in iTunes because there isn't enough memory to keep up with both sound and video. (You end up with a lag and movies become unwatchable within about 20 minutes) Except for these two issues it has worked OK, but given what I bought the computer for, I find the first issue is bad enough to make the computer unacceptable.
Summary: This is the worst purchase I have ever made. It is ridiculously slow and constantly freezes. ASUS "support" is nonexistent. The mouse works occasionally and it consistently has issues with saving word documents. Control - Alt - Delight pulls up the Task Master one time in ten tries. The power cord falls out of the port. Other than that - I do like that it is pink.
Summary: I originally chose this because of the brand name and reviews that stated how easy it was to use. It was easy to get started, but then I kept running into issues. I have had nothing but problems. Every time I try to access the Internet, th PC shuts down because it "ran into an error." When I try to run the programs that state they should help with processing, the computer shuts down. I would not recommend this product.

Summary: Very poor quality in multiple areas: — screen is grainy, resolution looks like something from the early 1990s - touchpad responds to about 60% of gestures and other inputs - ASUS pre-installed software is extremely intrusive and useless; it actually caused the machine to boot into a very limited admin mode that I had to figure out how to change and just use windows 8 normally. - It was very slow in basic things like opening a new explorer window.
