Summary: while the size fits the need that was there the keys keep freezing & the wireless seems to be having issues staying properly connected k keep getting limited access while my cell phone gets good signal. windows 8 only makes sense with touch screen k that was my error.
Summary: We bought this computer for our travels but it's so slow that we had no time to actually use it before leaving one place and going to another with Wi-Fi connection. Besides the letters are too small and when we enlarged the text it didn't fit the screen.
Summary: This is the worst purchase I have ever made. It is ridiculously slow and constantly freezes. ASUS "support" is nonexistent. The mouse works occasionally and it consistently has issues with saving word documents. Control - Alt - Delight pulls up the Task Master one time in ten tries. The power cord falls out of the port. Other than that - I do like that it is pink.
Summary: I originally chose this because of the brand name and reviews that stated how easy it was to use. It was easy to get started, but then I kept running into issues. I have had nothing but problems. Every time I try to access the Internet, th PC shuts down because it "ran into an error." When I try to run the programs that state they should help with processing, the computer shuts down. I would not recommend this product.
disappointing - avoid my mistake of going for the cheapest model

Summary: Very poor quality in multiple areas: — screen is grainy, resolution looks like something from the early 1990s - touchpad responds to about 60% of gestures and other inputs - ASUS pre-installed software is extremely intrusive and useless; it actually caused the machine to boot into a very limited admin mode that I had to figure out how to change and just use windows 8 normally. - It was very slow in basic things like opening a new explorer window.
Summary: I purchased this machine 4 months ago. This machine has to be one of the poorest constructed machines I have ever purchased. It only has one tiny little slot for the PCU fan (which clogs with dust) and has no way to open and dust it out. Now the fan is completely inoperable and the machine overheats and shuts down within about 20 minutes.
Summary: I was on the internet before Windows came out. I have tried a Mac, been using Windows for a long time. I got really tired of my computer crashing and constantly having to remove malware, viruses and so on. It seems like you have to spend most of your time keeping that junk off your computer. I've heard Ubuntu is a lot more stable and you don't have to spend a ton of time keeping your computer virus-free. Well, I got my computer yesterday with Ubuntu pre-installed.
Summary: This would probably be 2-3 stars if there were anything else comparable, but since there isn't, I'll have to give credit just for making a cheap laptop without Windows available at all. The nice things about it are the decent screen (finally a cheap laptop with better than 1024x600 resolution, so at least all my applications will fit on the screen) and the SD card port which holds the card flush with the case (This being the main thing I hated about the Chromebook).
