Summary: I used this little guy for a year and a half of near constant travel. It held up great and never even scratched. The screen IS a bit small, and the processor slows it down a bit when running many or large programs, but it IS a netbook. I upgraded the memory in it myself, which was very easy, and it's been a workhorse.
Summary: I ordered this computer on Amazon on May 10, 2009. I bought it to make presentations. It worked fine for 10 months. Then, the LCD+CRT Extend quit working. Per ASUS recommendation, replaced VGA driver (didn't help) and then rebuilt the operating system back to square one. Problem still there. Returned the unit ($15 shipping paid by me); they replaced a board; still have the same problem; do they test after they make repairs? Now, they want me to send it back again.
Summary: I bought this 1002HA about 14 months ago, just to have on hand as an emergency backup PC, something to plug into my monitor and use for net shopping parts and whatnot to get my desktop back up and running, should that desktop ever blow a gasket. All I do is haul it out of the carry case once per week, turn on my MS bluetooth mouse, plug in the LAN cable (I'm not a wireless net guy), top up the charge on it and my Plextor PX-610U slimline burner, update the minimal...
Summary: i recieved my asus 1002h, been using it for 2 days and i am simply in love with it. It beats my hp mini 110 in ways i cannot explain yes mine came with a defective speaker witch will be replaced but the rest just amazing first of all the shift key is in its proper place, i have a island keyboard since this model has 2 type of keyboards. The 2 cell battery managed to get 4h out of its charge witch beats my hp mini 110 3 cell 2h 30 min use.
Summary: Nice compact Netbook..StarOffice is pretty much worthless. You really need the Microsoft Office packages in order to use documents imported to the Netbook..The RAM was upgraded to 2GB but it only reads 1GB.
Summary: This netbook has worked out fine. The keyboard is surprisingly adequate, the track pad works fine (though I often use an external mouse), the screen is fine... Of course it's a very slow computer, but that's expected. The packaging was unusually nice too -- I almost felt like it was an Apple product. The package includes a nice carrying sleeve, and the power cords have nice Velcro ties.
Summary: This is a somewhat older model than the 1005 and has a smaller battery: 2 cell as opposed to 6. The 2 cell battery on one or two test runs seems to last 2 3/4 hours with continuous moderate use. Have read that the 6 cell sticks out the bottom and creates a fulcrum that makes the computer backheavy. As a result it tends to tip over if not on a level surface. Hard drive is partitioned into C and D drives for an extra OS -- useless for me.
Great so far...might have a funny issue with the Keyboard though.

Summary: I've owned this netbook for a couple months now and absolutely love it! However, I am just recently noticing a delay when I type. Sometimes I have to type very slowly in order to produce a word, and retype a letter a couple of times. Of course, as Murphy's Law will have it, as I type this review I am having no problems at all with the keyboard. Anyway, it hasn't been the biggest problem...yet. Just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this. Pros: VERY LIGHT!
Excerpt: The notebook is great value for me because iam a usual internet surfer. Don’t expect to do real hard processing works in this notebook. Only think, while watching Television instead of popcorn go for EEEPC. Surf the net with no wires not even power cable because of its good battery backup. The notenook got 1-year warranty with windows xp preloaded. Considering the price it’s better than HP Mini and Sony Viao P.
Summary: Pros: - Brushed aluminum looking finish. - Matte screen. Not sure why they make something intended to be portable with a gloss screen anyway. It's not like you'll be watching hi-def material on a 10" screen. - 10" way better than the 8". - Keyboard is easy to type on. - Battery life is decent. - Very light and portable. Cons: (but not deal breakers) - a little hard to open. There is no latch or indention to grip. - I guess the right shift key is a little wierd.
