Excerpt: The bad: the hard drive is a WD scorpio blue that is ~5400rpm and loud. It's fast enough for transferring large files, but the seek times are abysmal and that's what you feel the most... lag time between clicking and doing. The monitor is okay but a bit low res by today's standards, 1366x768. But it's VERY well lit with a nice LED screen. The VGA built-in webcam is a joke. VGA is soooo 1990s. You will want to get your own external webcam.
Summary: Bought this for the wife & with it's Intel i5 processor, 10 number keypad, it's 6G RAM & the sturdy feeling case this laptop meets or exceeds anything demanded of it. The only thing we'd change is moving to a 17 inch screen. It comes with Windows 7 Premium Edition installed. Can't speak to battery life as we keep it plugged in. It's a bit heavy, but it provides a sturdy feel.
Very good for the money; keyboard could be better laid out

Summary: After suffering through a Dell Latitude, which finally sputtered out and died, I bought this one and am very pleased. Function and speed are great, have had not problems running any applications so far, including data intensive ones. Trackpad works great, too (and I hate trackpads).
Summary: This is a fantastic laptop for the price. The keyboard takes some getting used to because, unlike many laptops, it has the numeric pad to the right of the keyboard. The keyboard has some "spring" to it-almost gives you the sensation you are typing on a portable typewriter (if anyone remembers what those are). The mouse pad is slightly recessed so it's easy to find it by feel as you type. I would recommend this laptop to anyone.
Summary: Got this one while it was on sale for $399. good deal and have been using it and it is better than my another dell laptop. I have been always loyal to dell. But figured that maybe a change. Good choice. And the price is unbeatable.
Summary: The laptop seems to work well. I unwrapped it and then took it to my computer consultant to run system checks, and optimize it (delete unnecessary programs, change settings, etc.) which is customary for new computers. 3 weeks in, and no problems.
Summary: I love this computer, and I got it only for 450 which is a great price. The only things I hate are the keyboard, which feels kind of funny, and that asus intalled an lot of software on the computer, most part of it useless.
Summary: Great laptop for the price. Its fast and full of memory for plenty of downloads and uploads. Speakers are good. Software is good. FYI it's not equipped with the full version of microsoft office. Battery life is good, bout 3 hrs like it says. Keyboard is kind of low rent but not as bad as some other reviews make it sound. Perfect computer to have around the house and use everyday.
Summary: Been using notebooks for years, this is the latest which I bought on reviews and reliability reports. My last few have been Dells, but they seem to be on a slide lately. Here's my observations after using this a couple months. So what I don't like first - the touch pad. It's ok with the exception of the 2 finger scroll for moving about web pages. It's constantly twitchy.
