Excerpt: I bought this product half a year ago from Best Buy. In these 6 months, it has BROKEN, and not just once, but TWICE. Both were software issues, and both times I, the consumer, had to pay ridiculous fees to get it shipped to their factory and back for repair. As if this wasn't worse, it seems that every time I get the computer back, the quality worsens. This product features extremely low quality!!!
Summary: i had been very impressed with this little machine. But after 16 months (and very little use)it had had enough and it gave up the will to live. So all in all not very good value for money if it doesn't last.
Summary: Purchased a used note book, after 4 months the hard disk failed to boot up. Only then I relaised I had a 90 day warranty,on spending over £200 for not much more I could have purchased a brand new one with 12 month warranty. The 3 months is not good enough at such prices, it is a rip off!! There is no good will with these people.Should not be on amazon.
Summary: I bought an Eee PC 1005HA in September 2009, initially there were no problems, since June this year the keyboard and mouse freeze daily, the only way to get it working again is to turn off and re-boot the system, since this time I have looked at forums, there are loads of posts with people who have the same problem, Asus seem to deny there is a problem and seem to have made no moves to rectify.
Summary: I specifically purchased this computer as I wanted the 11 hour battery life which has been advertised. BIG mistake. The first 1005P that was delivered could only manage 5 hours, even with all the most power efficient settings on and no hard drive activity. I send this back, and requested a new computer - only to get a maximum of 4 hours and 50 minutes, again with the same settings. Searching on this problem on the internet, it seems many experience the same.
