Great product! but C- for possible nVidia defect

Summary: This is one of the models that have the NVidia defect. The defect is no longer being repaired under any warranty. If you own or buy one of these models you will probably need to have the logic board repaired at your own expense.
Summary: The Apple Macbook Pro MB133LL/A, which is a 2008 model, 2.4 GHz is not what i received. I received an Apple Macbook Pro, MA609LL model # A1211 which was introduced in 2006 with 2.16 GHz processor. The computer was misrepresented. The OS 10.7.4 was put on a partition of the hard drive with barely any room to spare for application software and there was no OS software with which to do a clean instal on the whole drive.
Excerpt: I had a macbook after having a mac desktop. All I can say is the customer service is not as good as people say, and their computers are unreliable. The hardware continually broke on me, time after time, and I would not get another one. I am a college student, and for me, the most bang for me buck definitely came from getting a PC after my hard-drive crashed 3 times on my mac, each of which happened during finals!

Excerpt: First of all I have to say I love the Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch Notebook it self . I will say they are very Pricey specialy compare to A Pc. I am still decideding if the price was worth thr product. But the product it amazing. My biggest complaint would have to be the Apple people them sleves. Our notebook broke during our one year warenty.
Excerpt: After using various laptops (various Dells and IBM's), I decided to make the jump and switch to a Macbook in October of 2010. I was really excited to "graduate" to the Mac world because so many people said it was so much more user friendly, etc. I had it for about 2 weeks--loved the screen and keyboard, but struggled through the learning curve (different keyboard shortcuts, etc.).
Summary: I thought that Apple had quality products. This is definitely an exception. After one day, the big question mark appeared on the screen when I tried to turn on the computer. Checked the Amazon website, I have to pay 15% penalty to return this kind of product after one day's use. You can never find a phone number to call Amazon to discuss the problem.
Summary: Received the item and it is as advertised. But the circumstances were very odd. Immediately after the sale the seller sent a receipt with the wrong amount. He immediately sent an email apologizing. Then three days later I received a shipping notice. When it hadn't arrived within the number of days promised we asked for a tracking number and when we got it and called the Post Office, they told us it had been picked up much later than the original ship date.
BEWARE - Sharp corners, bad hand position ruined this purchase

Summary: I decided it was time to replace my 4 year old Macbook Pro 15" for a snazzy new unibody 15" Macbook Pro. Spent alot of time at the Apple store checking them out (ultimately a bad environment for this!) before I decided on a new 15" - then ordered it from Amazon. Of all things I never thought it would be the design of an Apple that would make me return it.
