The early 2011 MacBook Pro has a design fault in the logic board
24 June 2014
Summary: If you're thinking of buying a used early 2011 Macbook Pro, don't do it. It has a design fault that causes a catastrophic logic board failure, requiring a replacement of the whole logic board. I've had it replaced twice - in a computer that's only 3 years old. Fortunately, it was under AppleCare, but if it wasn't, I would have been out about $600.
Summary: After receiving the MacBook laptop that Hapon sold to us as "in perfect like new condition", I immediately experienced problems with screen pixeling, etc. The problems grew more and more extensive and the computer would completely shut down. The computer finally reached of point of not even booting up only three months after we received it from Hapon.
Summary: The guy who sold this to me was a fraud. Nothing was good!!! The laptop did not even turn on! I am outraged! I bought a piece of junk. I would give 0 stars if possible!!!! This salesman is a liar.
Summary: I bought this product for school, and it only lasted one month before giving me a lot of issue. After having this product for a month the computer stated sticking an clearly have some issues but because i use the computer once or twice a weeks for my assignments i did not realize there was a problem with this product until a month later making it not not valid for a return. Clearly buying a electronic from this buyer is something i will never ever do again.......
Summary: Got the computer in timely fashion but as soon as I got it the battery was no good. Three weeks later it needed a re wire due to overheating.... Once the computer technician opened it up he said there had already been a previous re wire and doing it again won't help for very long. Highly disappointed in this purchase.... There was no warning in the sale info that the computer had already had a re wire or that the battery was no good.
Summary: I had a problem with the laptop when it came in. the screen was loose and there was no software installed. I called and they told me to bring to apple and have them fix the screen! I wanted to send it back and they would not give me my money back! I asked to talk to the owner and they said they would call me back. The only call I received was just before the 90 days was up and they want to sell me an extended warranty.
Summary: This is the second Mac Book Pro I have purchased from AMAZON, this model purchased in early 2012, and another 15" MBP model 3 years earlier. I seem to be having repeat problems as the Mother Board in this one is diagnosed as faulty, related to the graphics card. AGAIN!!! I had this problem with the last one, and after it served me 3 years I thought it was due a change, only to have the repeated problem on this model, after ONLY 18 months from from Date of Purchase.
