Summary: This was purely amazing, and such a great deal at such a low price! 11/10!!! I can't believe how well it works and how smoothly it runs new osx mavericks, at the price i paid for it it was worth every penny!
Summary: This Apple MacBook was a great introduction to Apple laptops for my son and me. We both easily adapted to the system and found the MacBook to be user friendly and extremely fast. While the laptop itself is an older product, it was perfect for a first time jump to Apple. We are delighted with it's size and love the magnet type of plug in for ease of disconnecting. I am completely sold on the MacBook products. I plan to purchase a new model for a Christmas gift for my son.
Summary: Probably the most underrated machine in the Mac field today. The 2.3 Gig processor comes with a VERY strong bump in the Video Memory (from 512 to 1 gig). While this was expensive, in today's market it is a bargain. Add to that the Matte screen and high resolution and you have a machine that will have all of the positives and none of the Retina negatives with respect to screen resolution of some programs.
A complete waste of time and money. The machine was just too old.

Summary: I bought this MacBook Pro because my current MacBook Pro (18 months old) was in the shop and I needed to get some work done. Regretfully, this machine was old. Seven years old to be exact so, I wasn't able to open any of the jobs I needed to work on because the OS was too old, I didn't carefully read the description which said that the machine had OS5 Photoshop loaded on it. I assumed that it was the complete OS5 Suite. Sadly, it wasn't.
Summary: The MacBook Pro worked fine when I received it, other than an intermittent whine from one of the fans and the battery needed replacing. I bought two new left and right fans, a new battery and a 512GB solid state drive. Then with the help of ifixit.com, went in and did the work. After the parts were installed, I divided the SSD into 8 partitions and installed Snow Leopard, Lion, Mt. Lion, Mavericks, the Yosemite Preview and that leaves 3 partitions for the future.
Summary: Apple computers put everything in one basket and never cut any corners when it comes to performance or reliability. We now have 6 different Apple products in our home and all of them are still working as they did when we first bought them.
Mine still works, but it's beginning to heat up more and more doing nothing

Summary: If you're looking for one of these on ebay, be careful. I wanted the anti-glare, hi-resolution version and finally found one, bid, won, and THEN checked the Apple forums to see if there were any problems with them. There are! The discreet AMD graphics chipset has caused literally thousands of 2011 MacBook Pro's to have graphics issues, or not boot up at all.
