Excerpt: This is our first Macbook. We have always had PCs. While more expensive than I like it does run well. B&H had the best price and I trusted them since they have been around so long. Everything arrived as expected and we had no issues.
Summary: Fast shipping in a good condition. The wifi function is a little challenge at first. For some unknown reason, once it connect to the home wifi, the other products such as iPhone iPad or my old MacBook could not log in. Reset a couple of time, now it works fine. No other complain so far.
Excerpt: From screen quality, to size to ease of use, the MBP Retina 13" gets it all done. This is my 6th Apple laptop and truth be told, I would never use anything else. If you're moving up from a non-Retina display you'l notice the difference and lack of an optical drive is not an issue for me. I got the 512 because I do not want any issues with running out of hard drive space after working with an MB Air that had only 128GB.
Excerpt: I try to use this laptop as often as possible, and especially in the dark. I was looking for a laptop that had a backlit keyboard, and after noticing so many of the tutorials I was watching were in the OSX environment I felt like it was a good time to jump out of my windows comfort zone. When considering the typical price of apple products I feel like I got a good set of hardware for an apple at a really good price.
Excerpt: This is my first Mac and first computer with an SSD it is super fast. Boot up takes seconds. The OS X seems easy to use but will take me time to get used to. Finding how to turn certain settings on or off is sometimes difficult but that's why there's google. The battery life is amazing coming from a PC. Doesn't generate a lot of so it is comfortable using it on my lap.The only thing that gets me is how Time Machine only works (correctly) with Apple equipment.
Excerpt: While it's a year old model, the specifications for this MacBook Pro are perfectly fine for typical home use and will be so for the next 3 years. Currently we use this to edit and post photos and videos using a combination of Picasa, iPhoto and iMovie. You can get a laptop for less, but a similarly configured Dell laptop is about the same price. You're paying for an excellent high resolution display, a large internal SSD and extra RAM.
