I have issues with this product
31 March 2014
Summary: I got this laptop in september for work and like it, the construction overall is sturdy and the keyboard feels great to type on. The main problem I have is that pixels keep going bad. It is not a huge deal because they only show up when viewing black/dark images but for the price it is a concern. So far four have gone bad and if any more go I will be seeking a fix/replacement from apple. Also worth noting that you are paying for slimness here not performance.
Summary: This new retina MacBook Pro is just perfect. But there is one problem in this one I Buy, the P key does not work properly, only by softly cross the finger above the key and it get wrongly pressed. This problem in the keyboard is very uncomfortable to properly type.
Summary: This may sound sacrilegious since I know many pray on the altar of Apple, but as a long-time PC user and recent convert to Mac computers I was very disappointed by my recently purchased Macbook Pro with Retina. Although I agree that the Macbook is superior in pretty much every single way to PC laptops out there (especially those horrible Windows Surface tablets) a weird glitch earlier today has completely changed my view of Apple laptops.
Excerpt: Bought this looking at the reviews here. returned it after one week. Beautiful display very fast. Fell in love with. I should of done a better job researching it. WiFi card is defective. I work offline then download and upload some heavy files. Bottom line is make sure your WiFi is functioning as per spec. So much lost down time with this machine. East of my time and money. Before anyone complained about review.
Excerpt: Sorry to disappoint, I myself am a bit down, but I was expecting the 2013 MBP to be a much better machine. The display IS gorgeous, hands down, but this is where it all stops. I am comparing it to my 2011 MBA 1.8 GHz Core i5 with same 8 GB RAM. I don't believe the machine was engineered well enough to take on the massive 1680x1050. It heats up constantly to the point of not being able to keep it on your lap.
Pros: Beautiful display
Cons: Choppy Display, Excessive Fan Noise, Heats Up, Lacks Power
Excerpt: Although I love the weight and sharp quality of the print display, my new computer had so many problems that could not be fixed that I had to return it to the Apple store and get a replacement.
Summary: I bought a new MacBook Pro three weeks ago, and while working at a cafe noticed that the network speed was extremely slow. I did a ping to a major website and saw well over 40 % packet loss. I assumed there was something wrong with the cafe's internet connection. But, later that night, at home, I experienced the same issue. I checked my wife's laptop and the performance was normal, with zero packet loss. So I figured I got a lemon.
Summary: I waited for months for Apple to launch their new MacBook Pro 13" with the new Haswell processor and amazing battery life. However, the computer randomly freezes since day 1. It becomers totally unresponsive and only way out is to power off and back on. Then I Googled "macbook pro haswell freezing" and I was shocked to see 1000's of comments on Apple Support Community about this problem. As of Nov/1/2013, it is unknown if it is a hardware of software problem.
Do yourself a favor and Avoid buying this computer!

Summary: I have only had troubles with this computer since I first opened its package.
Pros: USB port on both sides of the computer (did not have this on my old one)., Retina is really nice.
Cons: Not enough GB! (Less than my old white MacBook, which means i could not back up all my documents) I do not understand how this computer can be called a MacBook "PRO"!, Way too heavy for not having a CD player, Way too pricy for what it's worth!
