Summary: I bought this computer about a year ago. I've had several problems with it. The keys on the computer have started to break off of the computer. I am not rough with my electronics. I take very good care of them. This cheaply made keyboard looks pretty with LED lights but is not very sturdy.
Summary: Definitely not the product that I was expecting to receive when purchased. I would strongly advise looking into a newer, better product than this laptop. The weight alone is ridiculous let alone the poor performance and decently small HD. Overall it was a very poor financial choice.
Summary: I purchased my MX15 directly from Dell about 3 years ago. I also purchased a hardware support plan. The laptop has always performed well, to a point. After the first 90 days or so, the machine would occasionally freeze up, or the monitor would go dark.
Summary: I bought this laptop for my wife two years ago. The warranty expired after a year. The laptop suddenly stopped booting and analysis indicated either a motherboard or CPU failure. When we called for support we were told that there are NO PARTS OR SERVICE AVAILABLE for "off warranty" computers.
Summary: BEWARE! As others say, this is a rip off, this machine is 4 years out of date and a much better version can be had for less direct from Dell/Alienware. Amazon should not be allowing this kind of thing.
Summary: Look at the specifications of this computer, or if you are buying this for someone else and don't know much about the technical stuff, get someone with experiance to compare it to one from the dell website...
Summary: When I checked out the details I couldn't belive it. This laptop doesn't even worth £500 at max. For the price asked you can but the following alienware: Mx17 Intel i7-3720QM 3.6 16GB RAM 500GB + 32SD GTX 660M 2GB GDDR5 and other addons such as killer Wireless card.
Summary: Overpriced and honestly not worth that high amount of money, for frankly alot less money there are much better laptops, like the lenovo y510p is an amazing laptop for only £800 and is alot better then this alienware, my friend has this alienware and i wouldnt pay any more then £400 for this quality...
