Summary: Decent laptop. I wish that Dell hadn't influenced Alienware as much as they have though. This is the second Dell laptop I've owned that gets strange keyboard smudges on the screen after it's been closed for a while. The first was an XPS 16... I think if the screen had offsets/stoppers on it to prevent the display from touching the keys, it wouldn't be a problem.
Summary: I purchased my Alienware M14x R2 in August 2012 when Dell gave me credit when purchasing a laptop for my girlfriend. At the time, we were in a long distance relationship and I needed a mobile gaming solution. I was playing World of Warcraft, Civilization V, and Skyrim. I also wanted a laptop to play Diablo 3. I really enjoyed playing on my M14x R2. The keyboard illuminates and it was really fast. I could run my games easily on medium to high settings.
Summary: I would like to say this laptop runs great for any medium setting games you wish to play. The custom lighting is also very fun to fool around with. It does its job but not as much as you would expect for the price tag. You are definitely paying for the name brand. However, the most important part is the fact that this laptop is faulty. The left hinge breaks after a certain amount of time no matter how well you treat your computer. It just happens.
Summary: graphic performance- very good quality of finish- high, although marks easily screen- very good keyboard- nice feelgood factor- its nice to behold battery- absolutely awful, terrible life, after 2 months cell life showing as 82%. my ten year old panasonic toughbook outlasts it-lasts about three hours web browsing with not a game in sight! temperature- gets quite hot noise- fans run very frequently wireless performance- very average.
Summary: i have got this laptop about 1 month. but there is something wrong with the windows system which is the IE always shut down and with no reason. i try to slove the problem but its still happens this wrong sometimes.
