Summary: Today I have finnally received my laptop, this was my dream laptop,I wanted to buy it for a long time! I have to admit that the shipment was preety fast I will give it a 5 star. So when I have collected my laptop from the post and I started to open it I have noticed that the laptop was packed very poorly,it allmost did not had any protection on it,moreover when I turned on my laptop I have immideately noticed that it had a defect on the the right side, the piece of plastic...
Summary: As someone who has had one for awhile please listen to me. Don't under any circumstances buy the base model and unless they've fixed the overheating problem then PLEASE for the love of god don't buy this laptop. The overheating will cause you to drop to 20 fps or less every ten seconds. If you want the best for your money and don't want to build your own then go to cyberpowerPC.com. You could get a laptop there with the SAME hardware for half the price.
Summary: The configuration have already been outdated. Win 8 system isn't included in the price even though it marked with Win 8 installed. And it doesn't have warranty, which mean you have to pay all fees for repairing.
Summary: I bought this computer new and customized it. It's been nothing but trouble ever since! I've used nothing but Dell laptops and what I liked about them was how well they were made, their ease of use and their longevity ... until my Alienware M14x purchase over a year ago. The only thing good I have to say about this computer is that it is still easy to use and looks sharp with it's alien design. The option to backlight the keyboard was a major selling point for me.
Summary: I bought one of these computers i have had it for only 2 years and i have had several problems with this computer and in order to get help you have to buy a 200$ warranty also adding insult to injury the time is very very short in which you can get help and they are the only help you can call. If you go to geek squad for help you know what they say?
Summary: I've been a Dell customer for over 10 years. Purchased an Alienware M14x R2 February 2013 to replace my old Alienware M11x. I loved everything about it... until a month ago. Less than 6 months after spending close to $1,700 on a top of the line gaming computer, which was extremely well taken care, it broke. During late June/early July I noticed that the left hinge was getting stuck and making a popping sound whenever the laptop was closed and/or opened.
Summary: I had a Dell Inspiron 1525 before it broke after 6 years of use so I purchased this. The biggest piece of cr** I've ever owned, spent $1,000 on it and it doesn't even run near as good as my $400 1525. You're basically paying $1,000 for a Dell Computer that has a light up keyboard - literally the only difference. Games are supposed to run better? Yeah right! Most games played always crash or are even slower than my old Dell.
