The first version of the Alienware m11x showed up two springs ago, and while we liked that machine well enough, for two generations, we've been waiting for the M11x to truly arrive. Read more

We've long been fans of the Alienware M11x because the 11.6-inch laptop is the only machine of its size that takes gaming seriously. With a starting price of $1099, the new third-generation Alienware M11x R3 is more expensive than most systems this compact, but with a 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 CPU and Nvidia GeForce GT540M graphics, this mini rig promises plenty of performance along with legendary Alienware styling. Alienware has managed to produce a neat and for the most part impressive subnotebook with the M11x R3. The very well put together case with pleasant soft-touch surfaces, the numerous illuminated elements, as well as good input devices, draw the attention in a positive way. Compared to its predecessor , the new revision has also received a few other improvements on top of this. Read more

We particularly like the M11x's form factor, and fit and finish. It's relatively powerful GeForce GT 335M GPU is also plus, and battery life is very good for a machine with this much power. The M11x's screen wasn't the best we have seen, but it is perfectly acceptable and shouldn't deter anyone from using the system. Read more

The laptop itself is great. The first couple days it will seem glitchy and thats because you need to do all of the updates for its especially windows 7 service pack 1. After that the blue screens of death stopped.Mine came with one of the rubber stands on the bottom shorter than the others so when you rest your left palm on it it jiggles. I just superglued a penny to it and the problem is gone. Read more

An amazingly beautiful, functional and versatile machine that lives up to its billed expectations. This machines offers far more than any laptop of its size range. I am particularly impressed with its keyboard, touchpad and buttons, sound, performance and stamina, ease of use (graphics and effects switching), connectivity and port offering, build quality. Absolutely no regrets!!! Read more

    • Good looks, compact, solid build, versatile, great port and connectivity options.

Alienware is a branch of DELL computers company and has built up its reputation as 'gaming' computers; hence a person would believe that it would be equipped with a big RAM, an outstanding graphics card and a fast processor (or at least fast enough for games). While I was in high school/University, people seen with Alienware were pointed at and admired - mainly for their expensive pricing & their reputation. Read more

OK so you review that laptop, but a more expensive version of that laptop for that laptop at £850 I could get an equally powerful £100 laptop. you only get the raw power when you knock the price up to £2000 so you should put the price of the one you have reviewed Read more

I bought the original m11x and I was blown away by the capabilities of that laptop. However when I saw the ridiculous spec's of the m11xR2 I had to purchase another one. This is by far the best laptop I have ever owned and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone. To be fair I intially had a problem with the fan of the computer, but Dell XPS team were friendly and solved this issue within 2 days. Read more
