Summary: So I have had my laptop for a day now. For most of the day I have been applying updates since everything needed it. I kept getting a driver download fail which is what prompted me to start the upgrades. Last night the computer did lose connection to my Wi-Fi as well without any reason. My only other negative remark is that its smaller than I had first thought it would be. The description does mention the size so I cannot really be too critical of it.
Avoid Alienware (owned by Dell) their MTBF is pathetic (IMHO)

Summary: A few magic words you will need to know if you are going to consider buying a Aleinware (owned by Dell), or already own a Dell " I AM GOING TO DISPUTE THE CHARGES WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY" these few simple words will work wonders for you when dealing with these people. My Credit card company said I could only dispute charges that are less than 6 months old, BUT!!
Summary: Amazing Computer, reliable, powerful, great graphics, overall great computer. The only downside to it is that it is a heavy computer. Bottom line if you want a powerful computer search no more, if you rather have a portable computer this might not be for you.
Summary: The Laptop itself is awesome. I love that this version is Windows 7 and not 8. It is fast, graphics are excellent, Having a cd/dvd player/ burner is great. Surprisingly a lot don't have that option anymore. I have not as yet used it for gaming. I use it for work and movies through mostly a travel projector. I travel internationally 2-3 times a year which means I need something that is going to perform well where ever I go.
Summary: I haven't had this computer very long, but I love the feel of the keyboard. And since I bring my computer wherever I go and live in a very dusty area, I needed something durable. This seems to be what I was looking for. I am please with my purchase.
Summary: This is a great laptop to begin with... but be wary that when you purchase this it will be an uphill battle. I purchased this laptop in the December time frame so I can use it for gaming and college, but it wasn't untill May that I started to encounter issues the wireless driver stopped working which meant my wifi stopped working. The next month the HDMI port stopped working in which a service technician had to come to my place and replace my motherboard.
Summary: I've dropped my 3 stars to 1. I wouldn't buy this particular unit if I were you. Let me just say that Alienware tech support is top notch, however I never expected to have to deal with them when my laptop was just barely out of its box. First the sound quality was terrible. The sub woofer did no woofing. No, I wasn't expecting Bose booming but the audio was so tinny it sounded like everyone was talking through a tunnel. No balance whatsoever.
Summary: I soo wanted to love this. It has a huge dead stripe right down the middle of the screen as soon as I unboxed it. It also is not recognizing it's electrical cord for some reason so the battery won't charge. I love the keyboard, best keyboard ever and that is important to me. I ran the Windows Expereince test as soon as I got it and it is a sorry 3.5. My ancient computers beat it. I also love the lit keyboard and mouse.
Summary: This is a great computer. It is very fast and runs games very efficiently. Definitely a good buy if you want to play games at a very high FPS. Also, the weight table is wrong, it's actually 6 pounds, not 11.
