User Review

Xxxxxxxxxxz, Walmart
29 June 2014
  • Summary: Computer seemed fine at first but after spending 4 or 5 hours installing updates and customizing the settings a yellow line appeared on screen. Tried updating the graphics driver but various sites on the web listed this problem as a hardware issue... Back in the box and returned it to Walmart next day. That's what I get for trying to save a few bucks.

  • Summary: I would have to say that this little beauty can pack a punch but I feel that without a built-in optical CD/DVD drive, it's incomplete.

Touchy

  • Summary: I have used an HP for the past several years and recently allowed someone to suggest Acer. This Laptap was the right price for the specs but I DISLIKE THIS COMPUTER! The graphics, sound, etc are great but for work purposes the mousepad is touchy and constantly erases my work or swipes to another page completely....

Extremely satisfied

N/A, Newegg
3 May 2014
  • Pros: Bought it "refurbished" it's the best bang for the buck I got. Very light and well built.
  • Cons: none that I can think of (other than it needs a memory upgrade, which is easy to do).

good laptop for casual gaming and daily work

  • Summary: I have been using this laptop for few months now and I like it very much. Its design is pretty good, very lightweight as it doesn't have a dvd R/RW. The processor is good, RAM is decent enough to handle Windows 8. I am not sure if this model belongs to the ultra-book specs but it is quite fast with cold reboot time of less than a minute. The battery has enough juice to last for 4+ hours doing some light work.

Great computer with some trade-offs

orioles_fan, Amazon

  • Summary: When I was shopping for a laptop, I wanted something larger than 13" without breaking the bank. When I came across this Acer, I was pretty surprised. Price was great, screen size was good and the form factor was surprisingly impressive for the price. After receiving it, I'm still happy with my choice. The laptop feels very well built and the keyboard is very easy to type on. The lower end Pentium processor is still capable when compared to an i3.

  • Summary: Maybe the best laptop in a 500-600 price range. Great performance, very thin, big screen with good image and good sound.

It is not working End of Feb. 2014, brought 8-2013

6 April 2014
  • Summary: The Acer Aspire V5-572G-6679 15.6-inch Laptop (Polar Black) was never as good as the HP we had before and now it is no longer usable. Sent it off with our son to college (September) and now it is not working end of Feb. 2014. Should of lasted longer than this. Plus, he was using anti-virus. Very disappointed and will not be buying an Acer again.
