Summary: the computer is fast and easy to use. I dont even mind the Windows 8. My son loves it for his computer games. The biggest issues is the ridiculous sensitivity of the keyboard/mouse pad. I actually just wrote a review and had it deleted somehow. I have never had such an issue with writing a simple email and have it screw up 6-8 times per message due to this sensitivity.
Summary: I'm content with it for the most part. There's still a little getting used to Windows 8. The space bar keeps getting stuck. Also the track pad keeps deleting words as I type them. These are little things you'll just have to deal with.
3.5* stars: It's big & you must get used to Windows8 or just use "desktop"

Summary: -I am not sure why I wanted such a large screen, a 14-15" was one of my sticking points when shopping for laptops. The 15.6" screen is huge and somewhat dated-looking/embarassing when neighboring laptops in the libraries, etc. are noticeably smaller. +I do love the touchscreen. In fact it's easier to use sometimes rather than "clicking" on the mousepad. Modern, cool feature. +Love the backlit keyboard (another sticking point) which can be turned off with a Function key.
Summary: I like the laptop. It has all what it need to be a budget laptop but it has one big issue of unstable wifi which forced me to return this laptop. I tried all possible ways what I can find online to solve the issue which works for one or two days and then laptop starts loosing wifi connection. I thought it is windows 8 issue but then when I bought toshiba laptop with windows 8 there was no problem with wifi.
Summary: I would buy it again. The price was right. The machine works well for the most part. The touch screen is a great feature and the whole system is zippy. Every once in a while the mouse pad will stop working and I have to pull the battery. Also the space bar isn't sensitive on the right side and at times when I type a space it doesn't work. Took a while to adjust for that but once I did it's not so bad.
Summary: Four days after receiving laptop the hard drive failed. Had to ship back to Acer, and took 14 calenders be repaired and shipped back. Overall a good laptop. I mainly purchased this laptop for graduate school. A laptop with similar features would have cost at least $200 more. Do not buy this laptop if battery life is a priority! I would not let my bad hard drive experience deter anyone from buying this laptop.
Summary: Does not come with clear operating instructions you have to hunt and peck to find out how to operate. also have had to send one back because of short battery life ( less than 2 hrs) and am waiting on manufactor to send replacement battery for second one or I am sending it back too. I like the computer but if it doesn't perform like it is advertised then why accept it?
Summary: I have found Windows 8 to be exceptionally frustrating. The transition between touch screen operation and keypad operation often results in loss of info when typing.and becomes especially frustrating when using excel. Found that addition of a wireless mouse helped to solve many of those issues. Battery life is not nearly as good as advertised. I am getting about 3 hours before recharging. The computer itself works as advertised otherwise.

Summary: This NEW computer Only worked for 1 day. It then died and had to be sent for repair to ACER. I am awaiting ACER to retunr repaired product and see how it works. Kind of dissapointing that it had to be sent for repair after 1 day. Also, the computer had the wrong purchase date attached to the specific serial number on Acer website. While the purchase date showed Feb 2013 and this was purchased in August 2013.
