Summary: -I am not sure why I wanted such a large screen, a 14-15" was one of my sticking points when shopping for laptops. The 15.6" screen is huge and somewhat dated-looking/embarassing when neighboring laptops in the libraries, etc. are noticeably smaller. +I do love the touchscreen. In fact it's easier to use sometimes rather than "clicking" on the mousepad. Modern, cool feature. +Love the backlit keyboard (another sticking point) which can be turned off with a Function key.
Summary: I like the laptop. It has all what it need to be a budget laptop but it has one big issue of unstable wifi which forced me to return this laptop. I tried all possible ways what I can find online to solve the issue which works for one or two days and then laptop starts loosing wifi connection. I thought it is windows 8 issue but then when I bought toshiba laptop with windows 8 there was no problem with wifi.
Summary: Does not come with clear operating instructions you have to hunt and peck to find out how to operate. also have had to send one back because of short battery life ( less than 2 hrs) and am waiting on manufactor to send replacement battery for second one or I am sending it back too. I like the computer but if it doesn't perform like it is advertised then why accept it?
Summary: I have found Windows 8 to be exceptionally frustrating. The transition between touch screen operation and keypad operation often results in loss of info when typing.and becomes especially frustrating when using excel. Found that addition of a wireless mouse helped to solve many of those issues. Battery life is not nearly as good as advertised. I am getting about 3 hours before recharging. The computer itself works as advertised otherwise.

Summary: This NEW computer Only worked for 1 day. It then died and had to be sent for repair to ACER. I am awaiting ACER to retunr repaired product and see how it works. Kind of dissapointing that it had to be sent for repair after 1 day. Also, the computer had the wrong purchase date attached to the specific serial number on Acer website. While the purchase date showed Feb 2013 and this was purchased in August 2013.
Summary: I am pleased with the computer with the exception of one nearly overriding issue. The speakers are totally inadequate! I seriously thought there was something amiss and considered sending it back. I took some time reading reviews and found pour sound quality to be a common complaint. I've addressed the sound issue with a decent Bluetooth speaker. Another complaint is the fact that there is NO Caps Lock indicator light!! ?????
Summary: To start off, I've owned this laptop for about 24 hours now and got it as an upgrade to a returned Toshiba Satellite touch which was utterly terrible. Over the past 24 hours I've played with this thing trying to get used to Windows 8 and I find myself trying my hardest to change it back to 7, but I'm not here to review the OS. The laptop is well powered by the core i5, but I can see a year or two down the line where it will become quite the hurdle.
