Too many problems with Windows 8 and Acer's own utility programs like Acer Instant Update Service

Summary: The Acer Aspire V3 771-G was doing fine for the first 2 days. After that I started having problem shutting down and starting up. I have had blue screen and black screen errors, extreme slowdown, some "iuEmailOutlookAgent has stopped working" type of problems (like iuBrowser...), etc. almost every day. The situation has improved a little after I removed Acer Instant Update Service. Some keys (esp. the space bar) are not as responsive as others.
Summary: THE GOOD: -I love that I can upgrade the ram to 16 gigs (it came with 8gb). -I like the two tone color. -It has good loud speaker volume for a laptop. THE BAD: -WIndows 8 is GARBAGE & certain things are not easy to figure out. If ur a beginner, it's NOT for u & I suggest u stay CLEAR of windows F. -Flimsy keyboard buttons. -No Num Lock Light to let u know it's on. -No Cap Lock Light to let u know it's on. -Freezes up regularly.
Tried to like it but returned it for the one below

Summary: I tried to get to like this laptop for a couple weeks but it had to many shortcomings for my uses. It is heavier than I expected, the keyboard wasn't backlit, and overall I just didn't like the look of it. I ended up going with the slightly lighter Lenovo at the same price point. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ATANUT4/ref=as_li_ss_tl?
Summary: Looks nice, but... Sent this to my girlfriend in SC, I live in KS. I can't do much from here...I've remote-ed in to try and help. After several hours of driver installs, uninstalls, tweaking, playing with the settings, we still cannot get the damn microphone to work. Considering one of the selling points of a laptop for me was so I could see her through her webcam and talk to her over her microphone.. this is a huge negative.
Summary: I had this laptop in my Amazon wishlist for a couple months. Back when I added it, it was still a Windows 7 product. I didn't notice that it had been updated to Windows 8 by the time I actually placed my order. I had read the reviews, I knew all about the complaints, I thought I knew what I was getting into... but I was wrong. There's just no describing how awful Windows 8 is until you've been inflicted with it for yourself.
Summary: I paid about $800 for this computer. I might say for that price go for Sony E series that has full HD display and better sound than this Acer. This computer is slow and has a tinny sounding sound bar which is rather a marketing gimmick than practical. Disappointed on sound and processor speed and high price for a product which should not worth more than $550 at most.
Summary: Screen had really bad contrast ratio. I adjusted the gamma but even at the lowest setting it was really washed out. Brightness didn't help. Back levels were also really bright even at the lowest setting. Maybe I'm spoiled by my macbook but it was unusable, I sent it back. Also, the performance of the machine wasn't as good as my 4 year old desktop so I wouldn't call it a gaming rig in at all. I don't know if my unit was defective or they're all bad.
Summary: I do not like my computer it does not work right when I try to open my email or any thing elas it take long time too open I have old sony it work much better this one I am not happy with acer at all
Summary: I like everything about this except, my wireless card kept dropping the signal. The only way to fix was to send it in and pay for shipping. I decided to just buy an external wireless card and forget all the hassel. Disappointed that my brand new laptop had a crappy wireless card.
Summary: Pros: Laptop overall performance is adequate for a modern computer. Cheap. Cons: Given the huge size/weight I expected the performance to be a lot better. It is not particularly fast and anything graphically intensive (movies/games) causes the cooling fans to run extremely loud. I felt having used the PC for some time now I would have been better off getting a much smaller unit.
