Summary: I've had no issues with it using it as a desktop, I don't haul it around all the time. I could see where somebody who's rough on their gear might warp the hinging when opening it. Reasonably fast, good memory capacity for what I use it for, works fine with wireless mouse and keyboard. Not the fault of Acer, but I'm really not fond of the Win8 interface it came with, which appears more like a smartphone but far less useful when you lack a touch screen.
Summary: While the computer itself is a dandy piece of hardware, the software leaves a lot to desire. Windows 8 is a mess for someone not used to tiles. I installed Windows 7 and feel a lot better. However, a friend purchased the very same and has nothing but trouble with software. She took it to Best Buy's geek squad and it's better so far. I'd recommend the computer but not heavy on software unless you're a computer geek.
