Review Acer Aspire V3-571G-53214G50Maii Notebook

Notebookcheck
25 February 2013
  • Summary: IPS for everyone. It is like witchcraft: Reviewers and readers have complained about poor TN panels in Acer's multimedia notebooks for years. Now we review a 650 Euros (~$848) model with a downright fantastic Full HD IPS display, which is even matte. Should you buy before it's gone?
  • Pros: stable viewing angles, very high contrast, bright, matte, Full HD IPS, decent keyboard, excellent system performance, decent graphics performance, low noise emissions, cheap, Matte, great colors and first-class IPS viewing angles. Finally an affordable laptop offers a display quality common in tablets.
  • Cons: connectivity, glossy surfaces on the case, temperature increase under load, That cheap? The reviewer does not dare to complain. Prolific writers will not like the short travel of the mouse buttons and perfectionists will criticize the moderate build quality.

Review Acer Aspire V3-571G-53238G1TMaii Notebook

Notebookcheck
23 February 2013
  • Summary: Unique selling point. Acer seems to have understood the times and went for a matte Full HD IPS panel for the new variant of their Aspire V3-571G. Add the brand new Nvidia GeForce GT 730M, a potent dual-core processor and 8 GB of RAM to that, and you've got a good line of components to pique a buyer's interest. Wondering how this update of the Aspire V3 turned out? You'll find out in this review.
  • Pros: Matte FullHD IPS display, Good application and 3D performance, Temperature remains low, The high-quality IPS display with Full HD resolution and good picture quality in an 800 Euros (~$1045) multimedia notebook is nowhere else to be found.
  • Cons: Average manufacturing quality, Connections all in the front, Moderate speaker quality, Unexceptional battery life, We certainly would like to see somewhat better speakers on a multimedia device with a focus on games, music and movies.
