Good laptop, but problems apparent
16 March 2013
Summary: So I bought this laptop about 2 years ago now for my partner as a birthday gift. The laptop runs well but over time we have noticed that the laptop will turn off by itself, and after some googling I found that this particular model is prone to overheating, and as time has gone on this problem has gotten worse. If you afford to buy a different laptop, I would reccomend you do.
Summary: This is the third Acer which i got for a friend and it was only the cost that was a factor here. The first two broke down after 11 months with the screen going fuzzy. Acer not interested but amazon gave me a full refund. This seems to be working okay and i have a big acer desktop and it still works well.
Summary: Had problems with overheating within a few months of purchase; automatically shutting down and not able to reboot for 30 minutes or so.. Sent it back to ACER who returned it finding no fault. Also had to have Service Pack 1 installed manually and lost all my data as a result. Now the screen is acting up and the battery is looking decidedly dodgy after just 2 years of wear. Would not buy from Acer again.
Summary: Yes it does what it says on the tin but only for so long. Seems a durable laptop but battery life was always poor and now has to be used on the mains charger which destroys the object of a laptop. Now replaced by a Packard Bell, also from Amazon.
Summary: I received the Acer laptop which is great from a content point of view. In other words, it has a decent screen, hard drive, wifi, multiple input connectivity and is also bundled with Windows 7, all at a good price. One big drawback is the construction of the device. It is very flimsy plastic. As soon as I opened the box, I noticed a crack at the corner of the plastic lid. It is not a surprise that it would crack - it looks pretty fragile.
Fair for the price however it seems really plastic and keyboards are not reliable.

Summary: As known with Acer's the certain letters came off the keyboard with mine within 3 months of purchase but as it was within warranty called acer and they dealt with it very well. Which brings me on to my next point although not having the most reliable laptops on the market any customer of Acer can expect the best Customer Experience on the market if anything does go wrong.
Summary: Had this PC for about 3-4 weeks and it was great - then the problems started (you've guessed it - Blue Screen). It "appeared" that for no good reason a file had become corrupted and there appeared to be no way out of it. Attempted a number of restore actions for different dates and times - no result. When all else seemed to have failed went for total system recovery - not undertaken lightly.
Summary: Dal mio punto di vista l'aspetto esteriore è un po' troppo "plasticoso" ed i tasti presto a mostrare i primi segni dell'utilizzo già dopo breve tempo.
