  • Excerpt: I finally got tired of my 10-inch netbook and decided to look for a laptop that had more power and a much bigger screen. Checking out the computer shops near our place one model immediately caught my eye. It was red.

Acer Ferrari One

  • Summary: Ive just bought one of these because i liked the Acer 751 very much but found it slow. This model is far from slow. Where the 751 found playing youtube or bbc i player video's a struggle, the Ferrari plays them like a high quality laptop. I find the size of this model perfect for lounging in front of the tv with it on my lap and the display is superb.1366 X 768 0n a 11.6" screen is so sharp and crisp and with this models dual core and ATI HD3200 it really does it...
  • Pros: Fastest netbook so far
  • Cons: Bit Pricey

  • Summary: Pity that it overheats cos i could live with rest of the faults. tried Acer but strange silence. The price we pay for a faster processor> Never mind i can use it to coddle eggs whislt i work :-)
  • Pros: Quite neat for size. Better than the atom powered lot
  • Cons: Battery life, Speakers are rubbish so needs headphones, Overheats and shuts off at random.

Really pleasing

Kaiser Sousa "Foodie Travels", Amazon
12 September 2011
  • Summary: Had a choice between this and an ipad. This was roughly half the price, offering full PC facilities in a realy coll small package. Fast, best of all the PCs we work with - at work and at home. Win 7, 64 bit is stable, and a joy to use.

  • Pros: very stylish, easy to type, very fast
  • Cons: battery doesnt last as long as it says, sound is also very poor n its quite heavy for its size.

A dead end in netbook evolution.

PullSideways, Dooyoo
12 July 2010
  • Excerpt: I bought this as a replacement for several netbooks after I grew very tired of their performance limitations. The Ferrari One is a step in the right direction, but it has its flaws. First off the processor is more powerful, it can actually multitask, something that the Atom is just not capable of. It is finally possible to listen to music at the same time as flicking between web pages and documents.
