You can't get away from the Ferrari styling, and more to the point people sitting near you won't be able to ignore the carbon-fibre lid and Ferrari badge. Under the skin it's a decent laptop with plenty of power, but that's a secondary consideration to anyone who has been smitten by the looks Read more

I am going to be honest here, the Ferrari 5000, while amazing, does not show off the full potential of Vista and for a laptop that cost US $5,000, I would at least expect some advanced capabilities that are unique to Vista (Ultimate in particular) such as Tablet PC and Windows Sideshow. Still, for that individual who wants a desktop replacement with the addition of mobility, the Acer is a perfect choice. Read more

I've owned my Acer for about a year now and quite honestly its the worst laptop I've ever owned. Sure it looks great and is very feature rich, but I'll remind you that for a PC company 20% of the cost of the laptop goes into the build 80% goes into the after sales service (you can actually look this stat up). More, the glare on the screen is almost unbearable unless you are in the dark. The heat produced by this laptop is nearly unbearable for a right handed external mouse user. If you place your hand on the right side of the laptop to use a mouse - forgettaboutit. Use it on an airplane with earbuds and enjoy the poking of your stomach by the earbud plug...why do they put these on the front instead of the side?? Read more

    • Received laptop and within one week, it had a video card issue that prevent it from booting up. And it would blue screen(die) almost everytime you tried to boot it up....
