I hate this computer; only somewhat good for using the internet.

Excerpt: I absolutely hate this computer. First of all, it is not mine, and it was only bought to be used for going on the internet, which is the only thing it is good for. I use it all the time; it is certainly much better than my seven year old Dell desktop. But it's not what you might want. This computer has only about an hour and a half of battery life, and the screen is visibly brighter when you plug it in.
Excerpt: I was very surprised that Acer had failed to optimise system speed even with 1 GB of RAM. The processor also runs very hot after a few hours of continuous use and on summer days this can make using the Extensa a very sweaty experience! I also found the Extensa to be poor value for money at about US$700. For US$700 I would usually expect fast computing for one!

Summary: Decent if your only using it for school work, as a notebook, for writing essays and surfing the Internet. Is rather slow working with Excel (at least with medium sized databases. One unbelievably annoying thing is that the hard disk seems to take forever to "stop working" after you start the computer up. You can hear it going on and on sometimes for up to 30 minutes after you first start up the pc.
