Summary: I bought this as a gift for my mom for Mothers Day and she absolutely loves it. I wanted a laptop that was not to complex but still a great working machine. It has windows 8 of course, which I am not a fan of but I was able to change some things on the laptop that made windows 8 not a problem. the laptop is thin and not really heavy. Its great for exactly what my mom wanted it for, which is mostly shopping and work related things.
Summary: After using Windows 8 for a short while, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a clever marketing ploy designed to sell more copies of Windows 7, much like when Coke changed its formula to “The New Coke”. If you remember when they changed it back, sales went off the charts! Take my advice if you buy any new computers, opt for W7!
Pros: Once I converted to Windows 7, this thing became top notch. If it came with W8 I'd give it five eggs!
Summary: When the computer arrived it was already broken. It would not turn on and kept displying system error. I called customer support who had me run multiple tests for 30-45 mins and the person's excuse for it be broken was it is a new model and these things happen.
Summary: This is a good laptop overall. It has not failed me and I have had it for about 2 months. For those who need a dvd r/w drive - you will have to purchase this separately for this computer. I also noticed that there is a slot in the front of this laptop that ships wide open - there should be a blank in there to keep dust out at least. It has served my purpose so far and not done any strange crashing.

Summary: I don't usually write reviews. However, I wanted to review this purchase to help others make a good decision. Choosing and purchasing a new laptop is not an easy process. Especially when you are looking to get the most for your money. 2 weeks ago, I ordered the Lenovo IdeaPad S415 14-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (59405902). I have a prime membership, so the laptop arrived quickly. My excitement soon turned to pure frustration as I began to work with the Lenovo.
