  • Conclusion: I’m most impressed by the Acer AC700 and in turn the Chrome OS for its ability to startup in under 10 seconds, general ease of use and freedom from worry of about viruses and constantly having to install updates and patches for security threats.   The AC700 hardware itself is appealing due to its lightweight, thin profile and attractive design.  That all said, for the average user the Chromebook isn’t ready to completely replace a laptop or desktop computer.
