Tough sell for a tough customer, but this one is a home run!

Summary: In our house, we have done away with Windows. We have about 8 Macs, and now one lowly Chromebook which is quickly becoming a favorite. This is a light, well built unit that's quick and does just about everything you would want. We run a couple of businesses out of our house, which need desktop publishing. This will never take on that role. But as a student computer, this is a definite winner. It's so easy to use, and there really don't seem to be compromises.
Summary: Entry to a new world. I installed crouton and although it still needs some work, i LOVE the touch screen....now I am too used to is so I often find myself doing it on my iMac! Light, good looking, happy with the battery time but I am not fond of the glossy screen... but that's the only one negative.
Summary: Touch is a great, and Chrome OS is very fast due to the design. No need to worry about bloatware from Microsoft or Apple, "it just works!" Boots up in seconds and shuts down in seconds. Just know that this is for basic computing (browsing the internet, watching some youtube videos, netflix, social media, writing up documents on either google drive or Microsoft's one drive (formerly skydrive), or photo shop editing using something like Pixlr).
Summary: I really want to give this five stars and as it stands, it is a good product. Except: after a month of having this Chromebook, it repeatedly shuts down. I have done a complete system reset and power-wash, but it continues to randomly shut down. From what I have read online, this seems to be a reoccurring problem with Acer and this model. I am so disappointed, since I commute daily and I purchased this so I could continue to do work from the bus.
Summary: I love this Chromebook! The best one I've ever owned! Definitely the best value. The touch screen works great. The build quality is good. Would definitely recommend to a friend. I bought one for my mom too and she loves hers as well.
So amazing: No one wants to use the max or the IBM computers anymore

Summary: We loaded eight profiles onto this computer as soon as we got it. Each person is now able to open The chrome book and login whenever they want. We changed the settings so that is soon as you close the chrome book that it will knock your account and that maintains the privacy. When you open it, it seems to come on before you even are able to put your hands on the keyboard.
