I really want to love this Chromebook....

  • Summary: I really want to give this five stars and as it stands, it is a good product. Except: after a month of having this Chromebook, it repeatedly shuts down. I have done a complete system reset and power-wash, but it continues to randomly shut down. From what I have read online, this seems to be a reoccurring problem with Acer and this model. I am so disappointed, since I commute daily and I purchased this so I could continue to do work from the bus.

Screen way too small.

  • Summary: I had this computer for about 24 hours and it worked great (battery lasts forever). I'm used to Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc. so not using Windows is fine for me. The touchscreen is a great feature. I bought this because my work laptop is going back to work as I changed jobs. So, why did I return it? The screen is just too small for me. I'm getting a 14 inch monitor to see how that stacks up.

  • Summary: Decent speed, great screen, keyboard too basic lacking features. Internet is working well but with limited connectivity. I will have a more decent view after I know everything I need to keep it available when and ware ever I need to have it. I think I am going to enjoy working with this laptop.

The Screen is Awful. Returning it.

  • Summary: Despite more positive reviews, I find the screen so bad, washed out, poor resolution that i have trouble just reading normal text and i find myself not wanting to use it. I'm returning it for this reason and instead I'm going to try the Toshiba Chromebook 2 which seems to have an amazing screen but with a so-so processor. I'll write that review when I get it. On the Acer, the touchscreen is fun, especially since the track pad is a bit stiff to click.

  • Summary: Chromebook's have no direct printing capability and can be an issue. It does work like a new notebook even though refurbished but mine came with the wrong power supply and waiting for the replacement to arrive. Plays full screen video smoothly and very sharp picture. Sound quality is pretty good as well. Good machine but should have had a full version of Linux instead of ChromeOS.

  • Summary: I wanted to round out my collection of electronic devices (iPad, Android phones, Kindle, Kindle Fire) by getting a Chromebook. I wanted a lightweight laptop, similar to a tablet, but with a permanent keyboard and little more functionality. Something fun that I could sit on the couch with and easily type. The Acer had just what I wanted, at the right price!
