HORRIBLE Customer Service-- THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU

Summary: I purchased this from Acer Outlet under the guarantee that it was certified refurbished. The chromebook itself MAY be a well functioning, inexpensive laptop, but I wouldn't know that because Acer Outlet has refused to make any effort to ensure that I actually receive a laptop.
Pros: It was easy to return. If zero stars were allowed, this would get a zero.
Cons: I received this as a Christmas gift. I tried to get it to work for four days, spending many, many hours at a time with it, at three different locations. It worked wonderfully when connected at 5GHz, but let's face it - don't most places have 2.4 GHz routers? At 2.4 GHz, it either would not connec...
Cons: doesn't run on battery, I've had it serviced by Acer twice under warranty and they, first, replaced the battery and, second, "repaired the mainboard". I unplug it and the display doesn't stay on for no more than 2 minutes. clearly, Acer's repair department is clueless about how to fix their defec...
Summary: Buyer beware. The unit I purchased came set up in Russian and password protected. The Chromebook also had a hairline crack which gradually worsened over time. It did not appear that anyone spent any time evaluating the unit when it was turned in to Acer.
