Summary: Perfect laptop for someone on the go and constantly doing things running heavt programs, the graphics are beautiful, the WiFi super strong even if you are sitting at home this laptop will not let you down.
Summary: Within a couple months of buying this computer it started going nuts. Turning off all the time, needing to be updated ALL the time...as a student it drives me nuts cause I have lost work more times than I can count. The touch screen is crap. Because it also goes into the mouse you can't swipe or move the mouse/your finger to far too the left as it will change function. Too far up and you will freeze the screen. It's really frustrating.
Summary: We bought the Acer Aspire V5 for our son to use at school last year. 3 weeks ago, the hard disk crashed. We installed a new disk, then discovered Acer does not have a Win 8 download. We got a Win 8 install on a USB drive, only to find the Microsoft product key is on the hard disk that crashed. So ordered a USB restore from the online Acer shop. Total Cost so far: 3 weeks down and $100.
Summary: I bought this laptop used from an online pawn shop with a store on the E auction website. So far, everything looks good. There's no optical drive (CD/DVD), but USB external optical drives are easy to find for less than $30. With a 12 inch screen, this laptop is really small, but the person I bought the laptop for is an older person with small hands, so she really liked the layout and feel of the keyboard. I'd call this more of a netbook.
Summary: This laptop sucks. I've had it for a year now, and it's given me nothing but problems. Within a week I was taking it into stores for help. I now wish I had just returned it. If I try installing anything it just slows the whole computer down and I spend more time waiting for things to load than anything else.
Summary: Not exactly what we ordered (got a V5-122P-0408) but we're making it work. Slim and relatively light. A little under powered at 1GHz. Good for the size. Back-light would've been nice (V5-122P-0857).
