User Review

David M., Newegg
21 February 2016
  • Pros: Can hook up 2 monitors to it to give you a three screen experience. One in DVI and on in HDMI. Lighter than my Alienware laptop.
  • Cons: C drive has smaller storage capacity than the second HDD. Had to arrange the User settings to store into the second drive. Still run out of room for programs and Windows updates.

Low-end laptop for a mid-range price

David Carter, Amazon
15 July 2015
  • Summary: The display on this laptop is not as advertised. The images show it with a glossy finish, it is matte. The description calls the display "stunning." I'd call it "shocking." As in "terrible.

Mixed Feelings

Chris P., Newegg
24 December 2014
  • Summary: It took a while to get used to, but I'm still not a fan of the keyboard. This is more of a personal preference I suppose. Keys are flat and stationed like Mac keyboards, and I don't care for such keyboards. Now if only I had the money for a better CPU.
  • Pros: Nice screen size--great for watching videos and playing games. Computer arrived reasonably fast. Decent price for the specifications. Satisfied with the service from NewEgg and AntOnline specifically.
  • Cons: The main problems I have are with certain hardware issues with the computer and the service from Acer themselves. I myself am a fan of Acer. However, when I received my computer, brand new, out of the box, I noticed a problem of multi-colored pixels flashing on the screen anytime I loaded a game ...

  • Summary: After being used to a desktop PC it was a little hard to get used to and I also added a seperate mouse to use with it . I also do not care for the new version of Windows but i know that I'm a rare bird for that but I changed it to more like the last version of Windows which I'm very used to .

Such a shame.

Kyle J., Newegg
12 October 2014
  • Summary: If you don't use the mousepad, it's worth the money.
  • Pros: Almost everything about this PC is great. The screen is bright, the sound is impressive, and of course the Nvidia 850m can handle most games on decent settings.
  • Cons: The mousepad. I've owned two other Acer Aspire V3s, but this is the first model with Acer's no-button mouse design. Even after changing the sensitivity, it picks up a lot of false movement and the buttons are placed awkwardly so that I honestly can't deal with it. I don't want to use a USB mouse ...
