Summary: THIS THING IS A BEAST. IT COMES WITH 16GB RAM AND A 4GB GEFORCE 750M WHICH IS THE HIGHER END OF THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD GRAPHICS CARDS. IT HAS 4K THE 5TH GENERATION OF THE NVIDA HAS 4K CAPABILITIES AND THAT SPECIFICALLY WHAT I BOUGHT THIS FOR. IT DISPLAYS IN FULL HD 1920 BY 1080. FOR VIDEO PROCESSING THIS THING DOESN'T EVEN BREAK A SWEAT. FOR GAMING I WOULD RECOMMEND A COOLING PAD BUT STILL THIS THING REALLY DID NOT GET THAT HOT.

Summary: For the price, and what I wanted it for (light gaming) its been great. All issues ive had, have been because of Windows 8. None of the hardware has had issues. I like the cheaper price, with room to upgrade later (ssd bay, and 4 total ram slots (2 free) ) Screen has never bothered me, and I think it looks great. I use it with keyboard and mouse, never used onboard keys or pad.
Summary: About 200 bucks cheaper than competitors who offer similar specs out there right now, wish it has 15 inch version with weight no more than 2.8 kg and 3 USB3.0 + 1USB2.0 instead 2+2, those are things missed my expectations, but i wouldn't count them as cons.Overall this laptop is a big bang for buck.
Pros: Big bang for buck
Cons: Nothing particularly, battery life could be better and no backlit keyboard maybe?
Summary: the bluetooth isnt an acer problem its windows 8 and computer is awsome and fast, install an ssd, somehow, if you want desktop performance, im coming from a desktop 3570k oc to 4.4ghz and gtx 660ti with an ssd, so definately not a shock coming to this laptop, very good and thank you ncix.
Pros: fast, runs cool(unlike amd),great price for what you get, have not done any benchmarks for bf4 yet but gpu reviews have stated that it runs at high settings at 60fps.probly higher with driver updates.
Cons: had a problem with mouse staying connected to BT but its a windows 8.1 issue and you can right click go to properties and select power management in device manager under bluetooth drivers and untick the box that tells the device to sleep now its responsive and no more lag after mouse inactive.
Summary: I owned an Acer which still works, for 9 years now and was looking for an upgrade. This is a good gaming laptop for the money. I am able to play current games with high graphics. The Windows 8.1 defaults to desktop, so that's an improvement. Battery lasted almost 6 hours. The temp stays pretty low. I am happy with this purchase. Cons: Keyboard is not back lit, No BluRay Drive, and Bloatware installed (run PC Decrapifier).
Summary: I purchased this gaming laptop for school, work, and play. It appeared to be a bang for buck powerhouse for hundreds less! after 30 days into use this device and many others similar to it, experience abrupt restarts every 2-3 days continuously. if you research issues with windows 8 laptops, which i was forced to do. after sending this device to Acer for service, I'm experiencing the same issues with the device abruptly restarting!
Summary: I purchased this system and have had for nearly 7 months, it was replacing an earlier Aspire that I had for 3 years. This machine is okay but within the last month it has just started randomly rebooting which I feel is related to heat. My first Acer was extremely reliable this machine is not and I would not recommend buying it.
