Summary: I decided to buy this as a temp replacement for my old gaming PC. I use a keyboard, mouse and monitor. I am very surprised on how its how it is holding up to some of these games. DayZ standalone and Arma 3 run alot better than I thought. Very playable. Even in cities there are no hardcore FPS drops that others are experiencing CSGO runs at 150+ fps Civ 5 runs super smooth. Im guessing that it wont have problems with most games.
Pros: -Powerful, -great for gaming, -Huge screen
Cons: 5400 rpm HDD, Heavy, Short battery life, Windows 8
Pros: very nice, fast, not lacking in any way, im not a big gamer so i wont attest to that but my resource heavy programs do great, has extra 2.5" drive bay, though you will need to buy a hdd caddy, also has msata slot, and two open ram slots leftover
Cons: really hate all the crapware that computers come with. also no recovery disks, although it does seem acer loaded up some recovery programs. i use acronis true image myself but i still feel a computer should come with os/driver disks as a failsafe
Summary: If you're looking for an affordable gaming laptop you've found it! Even got my boss jealous and he wants to pick one up!
Pros: This is an AMAZING laptop for the price! I got it for $1,099 and at that price you can't ask for more... It starts up in seconds and plays Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite in Ultra settings and looks awesome! Windows 8 will take some getting used to that's the only downside to this laptop other than that I LOVE IT!
Summary: I had a very old Asus ROG laptop (G72GX) and this is by far much quieter, cooler and more powerful. I can barely hear the fan while playing games on high-ultra vs playing the same games in low-medium on the ROG laptop.
