Summary: Great laptop with great gaming performance and also cheap in gaming laptop range. Fast but I don't like the fact that touchpad on laptop sucks very much but I am using mouse all the time so no difficulties.
Summary: I needed a laptop for home as a desktop replacement primarily for software development. Narrowed on this Acer for the followings reasons: 1. Upto 32GB memory. HPs and Dells of similar class that I checked would not go beyond 16GB. I needed more memory to run multiple VMs. 2. Solid keyboard. Best/sturdy keyboard in this class. 3. Crisp and sharp HD display. 4. Slot for SSD drive. HPs/Dells of similar class did not offer this. The ones that offered were expensive. 5.
Summary: Since the Samsung NC-10 netbook I purchased about 4-5 years ago was struggling to perform even the most basic tasks, I decided a new laptop was in order. I compared quite a few makes and models before deciding on the Aspire, which provided one of the best feature-to-cost ratios of the lot. I've had it for around 2 months now and I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. PRO: -Screen size.
Summary: I had this computer for 3 mounth now and wow. its very fast. i put a ssd for the primary drive (can have 2 sata drive and 1 m-sata) and it boot win8 in lest than 4-5 sec every time. Im sure nothing at this price can have the same performance. the only cons i have is the brushed plastic but i dont realy care. Go buy it, its a beast at this price.
Summary: The specs of this laptop are pretty awesome for the price. Here's basically everything I know about this laptop from personal experience: - UEFI support (with and without SecureBoot) works well with Windows 8 and 8.1, along with Ubuntu (and variants except Kubuntu) 13.04 and 13.10. Does not boot Windows 7's installer in UEFI mode (lock up on boot animation). - The included Windows 8 product key is for Core, and not Professional.
Summary: I used this computer for 3 days before sending it back. It has an amazing screen and a great keyboard. Biggest problem was installing drivers from acer's website completely bricked this thing. Maybe I got a bad one, but I sent it back because doing a complete system reboot twice in the first 3 days of owning a $1200 computer is a bit unnerving.
