Summary: For the price? Still the best value. It has small issues and it's not the prettiest computer out there but it definitely does it's job.
Pros: Lightning fast boot up with ssd
Cons: The screen is VERY blue tinted, it drove me crazy trying to correct it t first but I gave up and just got used to it. It's not really a gloss screen so it's not quite as sharp as say the HP Envy's radiant displays but it's serviceable.
Summary: I purchased this system and have had for nearly 7 months, it was replacing an earlier Aspire that I had for 3 years. This machine is okay but within the last month it has just started randomly rebooting which I feel is related to heat. My first Acer was extremely reliable this machine is not and I would not recommend buying it.
Summary: First, let me say that Windows 8 is horrid. This is not the fault of Acer, but it makes the computer perform poorly. The problems I have encountered with this system have been related to Windows 8 and Microsoft issues. The computer itself performs as advertised. With an I7 processor, I had thought the computer would be faster. My last Acer had an AMD processor and was purchased in 2009 and was almost as fast as this one.
Summary: This laptop is amazing. The first thing I did was purchase an additional HD bracked from here: http://www.notebooksolutions.ca/zc/acer-original-bracket-ac53371-51589.html This allowed me to put my SSD in without it rattling around. The next thing I did was nuke all windows partitions and install Ubuntu. Once I did that, it was a cracking laptop.
Summary: Graphics: The graphics card it comes with is the Nvidia 750m which has a huge 4GB of dedicated ram. It has NVIDIA's optimus technology which switches between the built in intel graphics and NVIDIA as intel's graphics is less powerful and uses less battery than the NVIDIA depending on what you are doing. You can also use the NVIDIA Control Panel to set programs to use the NVIDIA card instead of the intel integrated graphics card if you so desire.
Summary: 5 stars for the PC in terms of value, but I almost docked a star for windows 8. It is SO unbearably terrible. It is incompatible with all but the newest of wireless routers, the interface makes it impossible to find anything you need to find, bluetooth devices have to be removed and paired every single time you want to use them... the list goes on and on and on. Microsoft has once again tried way too hard to be edgy and different instead of not fixing what's not broken.
