Summary: Overall i was very happy with the laptop but the particular one i recieved did not have working sound. After troubleshooting for nearly 10 hours it turned out to be a motherboard problem. I returned the product but i had to pay return shipping.
Summary: The general day-to-day performance has been okay. Day-to-day our biggest gripe is the touch pad. It seems to be much too sensitive to every touch except those intended for it. The other thing that we're not crazy about is the glossy screen. Reflections can be an issue depending on the light conditions. Our disappointment has been with the quality of the hardware. I bought this computer at the beginning of October.
Summary: I bought this computer for my wife over a year ago, I have an Acer machine that is more than a year older than that, and they are both still going great. Great value for a really light package.
Summary: Over a year use. One big complaint is the mouse pad. Below average performance for the mouse pad. Those who have used Apple will be extremely disappointed and those who used others might noticed a slight difference. Other than that everything else worked extremely well.
Summary: I have had problems with this unit from the start. Every time its the same thing. Ship it there, wait, get it back, spend a bunch of time putting all of your stuff back on it, break again, ship it back again, rinse and repeat. I've done this 4 times now and they refuse to do anything differently. Because of the experience I've had with this product and its support, Acer has lost me as a customer. This is my warning to you. Do not buy this junker.
Summary: At first, I bought this ASPIRE TIMELINE X 3830T-6870 in november'2011 thinking that I wanted a Ultrabook, but was so expensive... I bought this for 604usd and one ultrabook cost around 1.000 with less performance... I expend: 764USD 604 USD, ACER ASPIRE TIMELINE X 3830T-6870 160 USD, OCZ solid state HDD 120GB Well now I can say that is probably my best laptop from 10 years...
Summary: THE GOOD: Bought this laptop just about 1 year ago and loved it when it first arrived. Very nice aluminum finish and the build quality is very solid. The island style keys are amazing to type on and even code programs with. I replaced the slow magnetic drive with a SSD and never looked back. The bootups were fast, so fast that when I finally had to bring it in for service the repair guys couldn't get into BIOS fast enough, Windows 7 loaded instantaniously.
Summary: This laptop is just what the title says. I used to own a 2009 Hp Pavilion, which sutied my needs very well, but with 2 hours of battery, and a fan that could be heard half way around the block, I new it was time for an upgrade. The Hp was 15.1 inches, but I thought it was a little to big. Then my brother got an Acer 11.6 inch, which I thought was just a little too small. That's when I knew that 13 inches was the way to go.

Summary: First of I liked the Laptop when it worked. Unfortunately it broke down after 4 months. Warranty Repair through Acer is Horrible. I paid for mailing to their support center in Texas, they sent it back no problem found. The unit worked 1x then same problem. Would not boot or go even to bios. 2nd repair - they replaced the mother board sent the unit back with a big dent on the left corner with a bent in screen and damaged base.
