Acer Aspire TimelineX AS3830TG-6431

CNET
7 November 2011
  • Summary: The aggressively priced Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG-6431's combination of gaming-ready graphics and a fast processor in a 13-inch body offers a great punch for a good price, provided you can live without a DVD drive.
  • Cons: The lack of an optical drive is frustrating, since other laptops of similar size such as the Sony Vaio S and Toshiba Portege R835 do include one.

Review Acer Aspire 3830TG (i7/SSD) Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
17 October 2011
  • Summary: Throttling reloaded. If the Core i5 already moaned as a consequence of heat issues, what will a Core i7 do? Acer isn't afraid of taking risks and sets up a (potential) dream of mobility with an SSD, strong graphics and a swift processor and 8 GB of RAM.
  • Pros: Adequate scope of interfaces, Generous keyboard, Fan partly inactive in idle, Very good battery life, Low power consumption operation, Very good gaming performance in 13.3 inches, The low power consumption in idle and the good battery life. The case's slim looks are appealing.
  • Cons: CPU throttling down to 1.2 GHz, Port positioning, High-gloss screen, Poor display rates, Permanently built-in 6 cell battery, A stable base unit would significantly enhance the outer impression. Core i7 performance without throttling would be a real argument for buying this 13.3 inch laptop.

Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG (6431)

LAPTOP Magazine
24 June 2011
  • Summary: For its $779 price, the Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG-6431 provides a lot of power in a very compact package. Its two-tone blue-and-silver design is attractive, and Nvidia's Optimus technology lets users play the latest games and get nearly 7 hours of battery life. Thanks to Dolby's technology, this 13-inch notebook sounds good, too. What prevents this machine from being an Editor's Choice pick is the relatively small touchpad and warm temperatures during extended use.
  • Pros: Bold lightweight design, Fast performance, Strong graphics, Long battery life, Dolby audio
  • Cons: Small touchpad, Runs warm, Heavy power adapter

Review Acer Aspire 3830TG Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
31 May 2011
  • Summary: Small Flaw, Big Effect. Acer has come out the with the new generation of Aspire TimelineX notebooks and the series wouldn't be complete without a 13.3" subnotebook. Speedy hardware, a classy design and a long battery life all sound pretty good. But how does the CPU throttling issue affect this compact laptop's actual performance?
  • Pros: Snazzy Ice-Blue Design, Decent Variety of Ports, Generous Chiclet Keyboard, Fans Usually Silent in Idle Mode, Adequate Battery Life, Low Power Consumption in Idle Mode, The attractive and compact design, the decent battery life and the good variety of ports.
  • Cons: CPU gets Throttled Quickly, Even during Everyday Use (Gaming), Placement of Ports, High-Gloss Screen, Mediocre Display, Hot under Heavy Use, Poor-Quality Speakers, Non-Removable Battery, A quick and easy fix to the CPU throttling issue that at times lowers the laptop's performance to below that of comparable subnotebooks.

Acer Aspire Timeline X 3830T

DinSide.no
8 March 2012
  • Pros: Kompakt, ganske lett, solid, stillegående, bra generell ytelse, WiDi, meget god trådløs rekkevidde, god batterilevetid, rimelig
  • Cons: Middels grafikkytelse, litt tidkrevende installasjon, begrenset tilgjengelighet, fingeravtrykk vises lett

Обзор субноутбука Acer Aspire 3830TG (i7/SSD)

Notebookcheck.ru
18 October 2011
