Worst Computer ever!
Melissa Raquel Salazar, Amazon

Summary: This acer is by far the worst computer I have ever had. I have never been so dissapointed with a purchase before. Thank God I kep my old toshiba, because whenever the acer gave me trouble, which was practically all the time, my old toshiba came into my rescue. Saving a few bucks became my worst nightmare ever.
Summary: I've owned the Acer TimelineX 13" for a couple years now. I was on Amazon searching for another Acer TimelineX for my son and realized I never wrote a review after purchasing this one. So here goes.... I am still thrilled with this notebook. I purchased my Acer in January of 2011. The 13.3" is perfect for travel. Really slim, durable and lightweight.I did have to use the built in eRecovery feature once.
Summary: After owning this laptop for almost two years it's still plenty speedy but the terrible build quality has really started to bug me. Things that broke: Keyboard stopped working (out of warranty) and had to be replaced The clips that hold the screen bezel in place are broken (it's now held in place with tape). Might have happened during a warranty repair. The clips that hold the front aluminum panel are broken (now held with tape).
Summary: I've had this laptop for about 2 months and it is great. I replaced the hard drive with a ssd and windows now boots up in less 15 sec and complete reboot less than 1 minute. The battery life in windows is great (8hrs) Ubuntu was a little less (5-6hrs). My only complaints are: the drivers a clean install of windows 7 won't recognize the LAN or WLAN at all and you will need to find and install manually, not that hard but annoying.
Summary: Today I am sadly returning my beautiful little Acer. This sleek laptop was so pretty and slim and had an AMAZING battery. I loved how it would start up so quickly. But I am forced to admit that I have to give up on it. In the 13 days that I've had it, it has frozen once and blue screened once. Each occurrance required a hard shut down. When it froze, ctrl-alt-delete did not work. I was amazed. Instead a box popped up informing me that it wasn't functioning at the time.
Summary: It's been everything the mfgr product info said. Great battery life. Doesn't overheat your lap. I've had this laptop for over a year and have had ZERO trouble out of it. The power cord did go bad a few months into it, but a $12 replacement later, it was good to go. Very pleased with this computer.
Summary: Bought this computer and loved the light weight and overall design. It felt like a sturdy computer as I lugged it around between work and home (in a very sturdy case). The processor was adequate for what I was doing, and with 4GB RAM, I had no problem multitasking (many, many tabs and documents). I preferred it exponentially over the overpriced Macbook Air that people were telling me to get. At half the price, it felt like a pretty viable alternative.
Summary: I love this laptop, it's fast and I got it for school work, but was pleased when it ran bioshock 2 perfectly on it. One problem, and it's a major one, is that the screen gets scratched by the keyboard. I noticed this several weeks in, and it's slow, but steady. There is a line of scratches that line up with the little black plastic line just below the keyboard, between the keyboard and the mousepad.
Summary: I researched laptops for a while before finally deciding on this one. I needed to replace my aging dell and wanted something small powerful and with lots of battery life. I did read in one of the reviews that this laptop had issues with the keyboard but I thought it was just a one time hardware thing that had been addressed and fixed. Unfortunately this was not the case. After a couple months of use, the top part of the keyboard started to act a little funny.
Summary: 1 Month after the warranty expired, the lamp died... you can't even call in without getting your credit card out. WOW... that is great service. NEVER again ACER..... I just returned my new Iconia :) won't get burned burned again.
