Summary: This laptop is amazing. My primary concern was portability followed by gaming, as I am an engineering student who is always on the move. First Comment: Straight out of the box this laptop can handle all games that are currently available on either high to medium-high settings, and this is due to the dedicated graphics card on this puppy. Also, a major plus is that I can run all my programs for school (i.e. solidworks, autocad, etc) without any lag whatsoever.
Summary: The laptop arrived on schedule and upon opening it and using it for the past couple weeks I have had no problem. In regards to people commenting on the screen being hard to angle right, I think it is just fine. The battery life is fantastic, runs quietly, starts up quickly, even quicker when you get rid of some of the bloat ware. I love this laptop. I would recommend it to anyone.
Summary: This was a christmas gift for me last december, and I waited this long before I decided to write a review so I can give a concise and accurate report of my experience with it. I love it. I play high graphics game and this does not disappoint. The processor keeps up well with World of Warcraft games, and it even plays Diablo III pretty well, for the price of this laptop, I highly recommend it. It is light too, and easy to bring with anywhere.
Summary: I wanted a tough, fast laptop with great sound. Hubby is a truck driver and I have killed several laptops. I love, love, love the finish. No fingerprints. Wipes clean; inside and out. No scratches, after 3 months. I was worried about the hinges, based upon an earlier Acer. Screen has great resistance and stays put, even on the bumpiest roads. Boots up quickly. Not bogged down with garbage software, as I recall. Okay, that's usually my first thing, so I deleted bloatware.
Summary: As I rarely review, the awesome-ness of this laptop inspired me to actually do one. Pros: -Battery life (6 hours give or take) While watching tv shows connected to wifi, word docs opened, and multiple tabs running in firefox. This is a big pro for a college student like me since finding a plug in school is like trying to finding parking in manhattan, virtually impossible unless you wake up extra early and never leave your spot.
Summary: Pros: Slick You can scroll using two fingers like on a Mac Thin Great Screen Excellent Battery life (I'm at 77% remaining with 7 hours & 10 mins left) Keyboard and Numpad Win 7 Hard Drive Space (It says 578GB capacity on my Computer) NVIDIA! Loading web pages is blazing fast Did I mention this computer looks GREAT Got it for cheap...~780$ shipped. Quick to boot up Speakers! Crumbs or dust will have a hard time falling through the keys.
Summary: Great price for 15.6' laptop with i5 processor, 6GB memory. Dolby audio. Can't go wrong with this purchase. Runs fast. Compare pricing to Acer Aspire TimelineX AS5830TG-6614 15.6-Inch Aluminum Laptop (Cobalt Blue)
Summary: Did a lot of research before I bought this laptop, which I mainly intended to use as a desktop replacement. However, i did want it to be small and light enough to be able to lug around international flights on conferences etc. Ive used this Acer 5830TG for a week now, and im quite blown away by how much laptop you get for the money: 1. It looks and feels great to use...uber modern blue/silver style, thin and light, nice feel to the materials. 2.
Summary: No doubt this PC can replace most/all desktop PC's with resulting high performance and small (and light) footprint. The battery life RULES... ideal for students' all-day class schedule, etc. There are 3 Acers in this writer's stable. All support 2 external high-resolution monitors with the exception below.
Summary: It was just a few years ago that Acer was on my personal (and professional) do not buy list. I've been buying some of their products at work for a while now and they've come a long way, but this laptop has been above expectations even considering that. Here are (some of) the pros: 1. Bang for $ - go ahead, try to find something better (or even as good). 2. Build quality - at least on par with some $1200 laptops I've purchased at work 3.
