Acer Timeline U M5 supervalue ultrabook has it all

CNET
8 August 2012
  • Summary: Yes, it's heavier than the average ultrabook, but if you're looking for an excellent value in a full-featured thin laptop, the Acer Timeline U M5 is hard to beat.
  • Cons: A clean but generic design and its heavier weight make the U M5 feel less like an ultrabook and more like a regular mainstream laptop; the screen quality is mediocre, too.

  • Conclusion: All told, the TimelineUltra M5 series is a strong contender in the ultrabook realm, especially for those who like to have an onboard optical drive. The M5 481TG-6814, with its impressive (for the class) 3D abilities is that much better, and available for the same price as competitors that don’t offer the option of casual gaming enjoyment.
  • Pros: Slim design, Built-in DVD burner, Dedicated graphics engine means good 3D gaming performance, Very good sound system, Affordable
  • Cons: Slightly below-average productivity performance, Fan noise under load, Mediocre Webcam, Basic port selection

Acer Aspire TimelineU M5-481TG-6814

LAPTOP Magazine
30 July 2012
  • Summary: With discrete Nvidia graphics, loud speakers, and solid battery life -- all for less than $800 -- the Acer Aspire TimelineU M5-481TG-6814 crams a lot into its sturdy and sleek aluminum frame. What holds this system back from a higher rating is its awkward port placement and toasty underside. Overall, though, the 14-inch Acer M5 provides strong multimedia performance in a light package.
  • Pros: Clean and modern design, Solid performance and graphics, Strong audio, Good battery life
  • Cons: Inconvenient port and power button placement, Inconsistent touchpad performance, Gets hot while gaming

Review af Acer Aspire TimelineU M5-581TG

Laptop World
6 September 2012
  • Pros: Flot design, Tynd, Lang batteritid, Stort touchpad

Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M5

notebook.ru
18 July 2012
