Summary: I bought this very expensive Laptop in high hopes that paying the extra money would pay off in the long run, NOT SO MUCH! It doesn't connect to WiFi at all times (has a mind of its own) and flashes on and off at times. It also has problems with freezing. This is my second Acer computer and both have problems and the customer service is awful. PLEASE DONT BUY, put your hard working money towards another brand.
Pretty laptop but erratic touchpad is a deal breaker!

Summary: We really wanted to love this computer. On paper it looks great: all the features you'd expect from a good laptop, including a touchscreen to save your sanity when using the Windows 8 Tile View. It has a nice finish and looks and feels expensive. It's light and attractive. But after the initial oohs and ahs, we got down to business and started to do serious work. And that's when the computer failed us miserably. It's that crazy touchpad! It's unusable.
Summary: Received in August and it did worked perfectly until the 10/07/2013. Then it died , Hard Drive failure. It has been since with Acer. I can't find out when I will get it back , calling only gave me the follow statement from the rep. We take 7 to 10 business days. If after that you don't receive it back we will try to find out what is the issue. Well got an email today that the repair was done. But no shipping notification yet.
Pros: Other than it being small I don't have much to say that's positive.
Cons: The first things that detracts me from this computer was the awkwardness of Windows 8, this is my first and last system with Windows 8. Once you look beyond the pans of Windows 8 you'll notice how slow this system is, especially for a i5 processor. My previous system was a Atom processor with 1gb of memory and its performance was the same in not better that this computer.
Summary: After using more than a month. i regret my purchase. what a piece of junk. Pros. Good size Nice screen Very light portable Extra better Cons. Double typing keyboard Touchpad is horrible even after driver update. Battery is horrible including with external battery you will barely get 3 hours. My main concern is keyboard is always bouble typing. If you don't believe then search on google.
Summary: While certainly a beautiful product, the hardware has a specific issue where it is thought the grounding plate can easily become jostled resulting in the laptop randomly shutting down. The issue was detailed extensively on Acer's support forum for last's year (Ivy Bridge based) S7. Apparently Acer DID NOT fix the flaw for this Haswell based S7.
came out of box with stuck eeeeeeeeeeee key- ACER does not stand by their name or products.

Summary: Took it out of the box and started it up. The “e” key starts typing eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and will not stop. Contacted ACER support thru chat; they chat that it’s a faulty setting and that I need to go back to factory settings. Send me a link on how to do that. I do that and the problem still there.

Summary: Lots of complete reviews here, so I will keep this short. I am really liking this laptop after 48 hours,were it not for the fact that the space key, arather important feature in a keyboard, works on a schedule that is somewhat different than my requirements. This is especially frustrating, in that I have not suffered through anyof the other hardware/software complaints (wireless working without flaws, USB connections solid, touch pad has tolerable sensitivity, etc.).
Summary: After living with the Aspire S7 for 5 months, I cannot recommend it to anyone except perhaps my worst enemies. At first I was excited about its light weight, and its stylish form factor. But I have since learned that these come at way too high a cost. The keyboard is basically unusable. Because the laptop is so thin, there's almost no key travel, which means keystrokes are often missed or accidentally doubled.
Summary: After only a week this very beautiful yet badly made ultra went dead . The build quality is terrible . The charger stem looks like something you would get with a 10 dollar electric toy . Acer was a mess when I attempted to get some help ,they even asked if I wanted to PAY for software help on a NEW ITEM ???? Amazon - The customer service at Amazon has gone from the best in the business to now the worst!Spent five hours on the phone getting the run around......
