Broken Screen on Delivery
13 July 2012
Summary: I got this screen to replace a cracked one on my Acer Aspire One 10.1 inch netbook. When I got it out of the package, the top left corner was cracked about three inches deep into the screen. I'm not sure if the packaging was to blame or if they just sent me a cracked screen. It wouldn't surprise me either way though. The packaging was just a piece of foam taped to the front of the screen and some plastic air-filled bubbles laying on top.
Summary: i spent a long time researching this netbook and thought it would suit my needs. unfortunatly once i received it i found it to be badly mis represented. -the built in camera will not activate for love nor money. it wont even be aknowledged as being part of the machine. -the computer is slow to respond with 3 windows open. -windows 7 is a useless format which will not even allow simple desktop background changes.
Summary: I've had this notebook for almost 2 years, I have to keep it plugged in or battery goes in 2 hrs, my shift keys will not work and the volume is awful can't hear anything and lots of times it won't work. Save your money and use it for something better!!!
Summary: I bought this product in March 2011, and the battery life slowly decreased. Also, since it's only 1 GB, it's EXTREMELY SLOW. It'd be REALLY hard to add memory to it, because you can't just unscrew the back, you have to take apart the whole keyboard and risk breaking it. Windows 7 Starter sucks, it doesn't have a lot of features that Windows 7 Home Premium has, like simply having a wallpaper on your desktop.
Summary: the other day i sent this piece of crap back to acer (in texas) for the third (3) time.bought as a christmas present(december)-the hard drive crashed on january 28th. i had to pay shipping--$19.66. got it back on february 23rd. two days later it crashed again. back to acer!crashed again last weekend for the third(3) time. acer WILL NOT refund my money OR REPLACE IT! YOU REALLY DON'T WANT THIS RIP OFF.
Summary: I purchased an Acer 10.1 Netbook about 2 1/2 years ago...I was delighted and it started out great. Now it's barely useable, despite installing the best norton package and handling with care. It's down to a crawl and the RAM just isn't sufficient to browse the net, toggle between programs, or clean up emails. Extremely disappointing product.
Summary: I have honestly never published a review on Amazon; however, this Netbook is so incredibly frustrating that I felt obligated to let potential buyers know what they would be facing. I purchased this computer because I thought it would be sufficient for my limited computer needs - photo's, internet - the basics.
Summary: I really wanted to like the Acer Inspire One AOD255E-13639 10.1-Inch Netbook. I was looking for a lightweight Netbook that I could carry with me on summer days so I could work outside rather than inside. Unfortunately the Acer Inspire One Netbook worked just once - the first time I turned it on. It took me quite some time to get it set up and working but everything was working fine (a bit slow but it WAS working) when I shut it off.
Summary: while this netbook is compact and has decent memory the touch pad makes composing emails and documents extremely difficult. Does not work properly and once an email is composed it can just disappear. The navigation through out the screen is very iffy. The cursor can get stuck and not move, then all of a sudden it will high light everything. Can not recommend this netbook. Am going to purchase a different brand. This was not worth the hassle.
