Summary: Overall a good deal for price I paid ($249 at time of purchase) Keys can be sticky when new but this seems to be resolving on its own with regular use. Speedier than I thought it would be, but I don't use it for applications that are too demanding. Some reviewers dislike Win 8. The new Windows 8.1, which you can upgrade to for free through the Windows App Store for free is an improvement, brings the start menu back for those who desire previous Windows versions' feel.
So far my son is satisfied with his new Acer mini-laptop

Summary: In the past (about 5 years ago) , my son had repeated problems with his old 15-inch Acer laptop & because 3 or 4 "fixes" provided under the manufacturer's & extended warranties did not resolve those problems to our satisfaction, we were very hesitant to even consider purchasing another Acer. However, in the last few years, Acer's products & service seem to have improved & this mini-laptop was just what he was looking for.
Summary: Still don't care much for the Windows 8 environment... seems a little cumbersome to me. But I'm getting used to it... otherwise, love the size of the computer... might be a little small for some but works for me!
Summary: This is a great alternative for a full size laptop or i Pad. Don't expect it to perform like a top speed computer, but for the use and need it works wonders. Got it during black Friday at a great price.
Summary: Okay I agree with most people. I love the machine. I've had Acer products before and think they're great for the price. The battery life is good but not near as good as advertised (no surprise there). The extra ram seems like the correct choice. The keyboard is usable for typing. I write books and do a lot of excel work. The disk is a decent size. Big enough to hold plenty of video. So it's great for what I wanted but. Windows 8.
