Summary: Piece of junk. All I need my computer for is reading the news, checking email, and watching the occasional YouTube. This thing has been dirt slow from day one. Takes forever to load up Chrome sometimes and it has a real problem closing iTunes. And this isn't to mention the disaster that is Windows 8. Oh, and almost a year into owning it and the sound no longer works. I'd never recommend it.
Summary: No complaints about the OS, or the screen res...etc. The location of the mousepad vis-a-vis the keys is such that while typing, your thumbs can inadvertently brush the mousepad, and move your cursor to random places on the screen. Its maddening! Especially if you are typing fast. Worst keyboard design I have ever experienced.
Summary: I purchased this computer for my grandaugher for Christmas. It was reasonably priced and with this being her first computer it was great! She could do everything on this one as you could a regular computer. It was well made and worth the price. I would recommend this computer to everyone!!
Summary: This is a great netbook and the specs are impressive for such a small package. The processor speed clocks faster than the N processors and just slightly under the core i3, it is dual core, 64-bit, and can run any operating system you throw at it fairly efficiently. It is lightweight and portable. The viewing angle and resolution are great. The keyboard is comfortable.
Summary: When we first got the computer the screen would turn blue and shut down, I fixed that problem, now it takes a really long time to start up. I bought it for my daughter so I told her someday after school this week I would call Acer and see if I can't get some of the problems fixed. I would recommend Acer but not a refurbished one. I should have bought new I don't think she would be havng these problems.
Summary: These are a great Netbook with a larger screen and able to upgrade ram to 8 gig. I have 6 of these in family and all function great and excellent WIFI on all. The Pentium versions have a few more features like BT and faster wifi and ive upgraded to 16 gig. The Celeron one is great for the kids and we use one for a multimedia recorder using windows media center and a HDHOMERUN on tv antenna-no more cable bills. All in all cant go wrong with these units.
Summary: It served its purpose but I hated Windows 8 so I sold it. It worked great and was great for a compact computer. The price was good but for $100 more you can get a Toshiba Satellite with more options and features.
