Review Acer Aspire One 756-B847X Netbook

Notebookcheck
26 April 2013
  • Summary: Are they still around? We haven't tested a netbook in four months. The small and low-cost notebooks have not prevailed on the market. Nevertheless, Acer sent the Aspire One 756-B847X to our test lab and we look at whether they are making a comeback.
  • Pros: matte screen, relatively high processor performance, fair price, solid construction, good input devices, The powerful processor, the matte display, and the fair price.
  • Cons: significant temperature increase under load, small, difficult-to-use arrow keys, poor battery life for a netbook, A larger battery would have significantly increased the rating.

Review Acer Aspire One 756 Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
9 September 2012
  • Summary: A miniscule Pentium subnotebook. The Acer 7xx series has been upgraded to have the ultra low voltage Intel Pentium processors for the first time instead of the traditional AMD chips. We will need to see if this is a better choice than the AMD E2-1800 available on other versions.
  • Pros: Light, handy, Small AC adapter, Easy maintenance access, Practical battery life, The low price will find fans.
  • Cons: Bendable chassis, Low gaming performance, Gets hot under load, TFT not anti-glare, Wobbly keyboard, Long charging time - three hours, A matte display with reasonable brightness.
