Summary: Very small and lightweight. I have only been playing with it for a few hours, but so far I am very impressed with this product... I would recommend this to a friend.... Lots of extras and quality for the price....
Intel GMA500 driver to display 1366x768 resolution under Linux

Summary: I picked up an AO751H Acer Aspire One used. It is a nice little laptop to have for portable computing, especially if you get a 9-cell battery, which frees you from an AC outlet 3-times as long as the 3-cell battery it came with. I always dual-boot Windows and Linux on my computers. Linux Mint installed fine, except that the aspect ratio was incorrect because it was not displaying at the 1366x768 native resolution of the screen.
Summary: I bought two acers a couple of years ago from Wal-Mart. Both had problems and would freeze up after a half hour or so. After reading several other complaints about acer, I called support and got a run around and no satisfaction. I decided never to buy another acer. Recently I received an e-mail about a law suit against acer and in the e-mail, it mentioned a disk that would fix the problem.
Summary: I didn't even try windows for a second with this netbook. Went straight to a lightweight option (Linux), Ubuntu. (Natty) The computer, by my understanding with other reviews on windows, runs very fast without being held down by Window's chunky and laboring OS for this pipsqueak laptop. It can't run Unity, which would slow this down anyways (I removed it, to get more space). With Ubuntu, the netbook boots up in 10 seconds.
Summary: Neat little machine. Lots of great features - extremely lightweight...I have to check my bag periodically to ensure that I still have it. large screen - no issues with video playback, bluetooth...rare on netbooks for this price, long battery life...charge overnight like a cellphone and use all day. Even the protruding battery is useful for grip. large hdd...250GB, Overall...Great deal for the price.
Summary: great battery life. horribly slow computer. has windows vista which should be avoided at all costs. we own over 10 similar acer's and this by far is the worst one. no others have vista, and they have more ram and more processing speed. this one will be relegated to use as a charger for our other real computers, since acer does not make a charger for these aspire one machines.
Summary: First i would like to state what i enjoyed in this laptop. First the screen is nice, good webcam (when it works, more in cons), and has a good size hard drive, but thats where it ends. Cons: Worst of all it freezes! constantly, iv searched high and low for a cure, but every remedy is different, iv spent hours on blogs reading what can be done to no avail. I froze 2 days after i got it, now it freezes up to 5 times a day randomly.
Summary: easy to use. a little slow at times. size and weight are perfect. just having a little trouble getting used to no dvd/cd drive i switched from a larger laptop. wish it were offered in more colors with the 11.6in screen and maybe 3-4gb/250gb+ larger brain.
