Small and useful, but don't expect extreme speeds

  • Excerpt: I got this for college classes and it was so nice to carry around in my backpack.  It starts to slow down tremendously after adding programs to the hard drive.  You need to always go through and clean up the hard drive to help it run smothly.  The processor is basic and not very fast so it affects the speed of your internet surfing also.  It's not a computer you want if you have music and pictures.

  • Excerpt: With The Acer Aspire ones you ither love them or hate them. Yes they have a lot of good things like the 10.1 led lcd screen. It has 1gb ram and 160 gb HD harddrive. But you have to remember it's a netbook. It does not have a cd drive, it does not have a very large screen, the keys are so close together that you need tiny hands to really use these things properly. I personally used one for 6 months and it drove me nearly insane.

  • Excerpt: While i was reluctent to try this product i decided what the hell and got one. I was rather surprised by the quality of it seeing as its a netbook. now with no internal cd drive the lack of a good version of windows 7 and the heat problem, there are plenty of reasons to avoid this computer with a passion but as i said in my one sentence review it is good for small things like writing, streaming movies and music storage and playback.

Acer Aspire One-Great little netbook

  • Excerpt: I bought the Acer Aspire One a year ago to have as an extra computer for checking email and doing homework while my other family members used our desktop.  I have taken it on vacation as well and was pleased with how portable it is.  It has about 3 hours of battery life, so I leave it plugged in the majority of the time.  This can be a negative if you are taking it with you a lot and are not near a plug to charge it.

Not The Best Choice, But It's Ok...

  • Excerpt: I purchased this small laptop earlier this year to replace a broken laptop.  This laptop looked like it would do what I needed it to and the fact that it had a built in webcam and microphone attached were an added bonus. Now, I access the internet frequently for both personal and business reasons and usually never have a problem on other laptops. No matter what my connection speed i never get the results I need when using this laptop.

acer aspire one is a good little computer for about 3 to 4 years

  • Excerpt: i have this exact acer aspire one. I have had this net book /  laptop for about 3 or 4 years. I love this lap top, it goes with me where ever i go, yet it is small enough and light weight so it does not over welm me to carry it around with me. Only recently i left it on over night and it now will not turn on. my review is it is very worth buying and do not leave it on, be sure to turn it off from the start menu when you are finished for the session.

The Acer Aspire One Netbook is a great computer for students.

  • Excerpt: The Acer Aspire One Netbook is a great tool for the new college student, as well as the basic, online addict.  It's capabilities of memory are above and beyond that of the average laptop, picked up at Target or Wal-Mart, and yet, these are the same prices that Acer charges for this particular model.  It's fast, it's durable, and it does whatever a basic computer user would need it to do.  The only downside to it, is that it heats up quite frequently, and quickly.

This Acer laptop is perfect for your on the go busy life.

  • Excerpt: This laptop computer is small, utra thin and works  great, for the mst part. The only problems i have had with it are the fact that the mouse pad is super sensitive and the keys on the key pad have to be pushed in fairly hard. The key pad as far as performance is truly far from perfect. it has multiple usb ports and also comes with windows 7 so installing my printer was as simple as pluging it in!!!

Lightweight ACER netbook, but very slow when not plugged in.

  • Excerpt: I recently bought a netbook to have a lightweight alternative to my humongous six-pound HP laptop. The contrast is striking, since the Acer netbook is probably around three pounds. However, the netbook has very poor performance when not plugged into the wall (i.e., when it is running solely on its battery). It is extremely slow even when opening up the Internet, which should be its main purpose.
